We didn't get as much this time. We had about 4 or 5 inches last week but the next day it was in the 40's so a lot of it melted. This time it snowed all day yesterday but we only got about 3". But it was about 15 degrees this morning, calling for a high today of 32, so it'll be around a while.

Miss the old F150 now, haven't seen a snow plow yet.

I just don't have a lot of confidence in that Nissan, I knew that Ford would go. The Nissan might be fine, but it's got straight tread tires on it, and the last time we had it in 4wd we had a hard time getting it back out of 4wd. Roads are fine when you get to 460 anyway, the problem part would be getting from here up to the stop sign at Snapps Mill rd, it's uphill all the way. And all the way back.

Oh...I just saw on TV that we had 6" in Appomattox. I was just going by what was on the back porch railing, but a lot of it blew off I'm sure because it was the light, powdery type snow.

The Pissan Nissan work ute is bloody hopeless trying to get it of 4WD

Last time I had to crawl underneath and remove the electric drive motor and it's little gear box and use a shifter (adjustable wrench) and manually take it out

Then pull the electric motor apart to wind it enough so it's little drive gear box was in the right spot to go back on

What a complicated stuff up, a lever and linkage was so simple, I  guess todays snow flakes have enough drama turning a dial on the dash

Will update on the weather in Yanky land

I'm flying in NY to help a fellow forum member Tim Maikshilo and shift him and his family back to NewZealand next month

In on the saturday the 10th Jan, out on the 19th

I expect my summer clothes wont be much chop in a north American winter

Paul, Unless your schedule is set in stone, you should detour your trip home to come by way of Bushnell FLA ( closest airport Orlando or Tampa) on the 23rd & 24th, 2026..  This is the ATCA Winter National show.. Better known as the Snowbird Macungie..
