. Some days I'd rather hang with animals than people.

I think I can say every day! I can make exceptions for some people, but it is a rare animal that I can't find some good in.

As a kid the calves we bought to raise for beef became as much a pet as anything.

That's exactly why my circle of friends is very small as for humans but as for animals it's huge

Bugger me Geoff, it's always a sad moment when a dog '0' log passes

It's bloody tough to loose them, I have never bought a dog, they just sort of end up with me, and boy, do they bring life into my life

If it's a pup, I think is this maddness ever going to end, they are perfect mates for humans and humans are perfect mates for pooches

Thinking of you in this tough time

Paul... We had to give Charlie peace today. He had been sick for a year,  and this last week was tough for him.  He is the "Red Dog" in the picture. He was going to 8 years old in December..  Now he is resting.. need to stop now, i cant see the key board anymore...

I know the pain you are feeling, and you have my sympathy. Those that have never had a close relationship with another animal can't understand the pain losing one can be. I had to put one down, and I had another die "natural", and the pain and loss is no different. Only thing is with the first you know it is coming and is a relief for the animal. Either way it is the loss of a family member.

I allowed myself to grieve and then when the time was right, took another into my heart and home.

Peace be with you and your family at this hard time.

I had to plant Mums Kelpie about a month ago

Had been baby sitting it for Mum for 12 months as Mums been having a issue with cancer

Think it was harder telling Mum than sorting out the rest of it

Poor old Penny was 16 years young

A very old pooch, Miss Molly watches one side of the front yard and Penny the other

They gotta keep a eye on proceedings
