I picked this B61 up after 15+ years of trying to buy it.

The owner wouldn't sell because it was his late father's truck.

He also passed and it was tied up in an estate.

Finally they decided to let it go. 

At this point I have too many projects. May do a resto mod on it but my neighbor is trying to buy from me already.

I emailed the Mack Historical Museum for information on the truck but they are closed for Covid.

Surprisingly minimal rust.

Oh boy another thing I'm glad we don't have to drive full time anymore, hot in the summer and real cold in the winter, at least mine was, did any of you guys have to make a living with these or you just like them cause your dad drove one, I drove 2 and the last thing I ever want to do is ride in one for fun.

Well personally I only took one for a test drive in Los Angeles Mack dealership I almost thought it was the only time I’ve ever driven one you’re the only one I ever heard say that generally the guys remember the good all days I have never heard anybody complain about one you’re the first but yes I can appreciate the hot and cold worst thing I ever drove lousy  heater was a Ford cab over 1970

Every guy I have ever ran into that drove a B, has made those same comments.  When we were kids, Dad ran an F model.   I remember that being quite cold also when we rode with him.
