I picked this B61 up after 15+ years of trying to buy it. The owner wouldn't sell because it was his late father's truck. He also passed and it was tied up in an estate. Finally they decided to let it go. At this point I have too many projects. May do a resto mod on it but my neighbor is trying to buy from me already. I emailed the Mack Historical Museum for information on the truck but they are closed for Covid. Surprisingly minimal rust.

That's her. Fought a few good fires off the back of that Mack. The first shift I ever drove after I got "passed up" (certified to drive) we caught an apartment fire. Beat DeKalb County into their first alarm territory.

Hello all. I thought y'all might find this company patch cool. I joined the AFD in 1989. My first firehouse was #19. The engine was a 1978 Mack known as the Champagne Bulldog, as it was christened with a bottle of champagne when it went in service. Iirc, it was the final Mack in service at the AFD when it was retired. I'll see if I can find some pics of it.
