1950 Sterling Dump Truck

i always wondered what happened to that sterling. it was a real beast. top speed was only around 40 mph. 

it was owned by Haines Towing in Bordentown NJ. and was their heavy tow/recovery rig. 

it lifted me out of a ditch when i hit something in the road and blew out all 5 passenger tires. loaded at 65,000 lbs on a tandem box truck back in 78.

picked the whole truck straight up and set it down on a flatbed trailer to get it off the roadway.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..
