Macktruckman Posted April 22, 2019 Share Posted April 22, 2019 1980 EM6-285 with Robert Bosch pump. Tachometer cable doesn’t run directly into the engine. It uses a funny little drive adapter that moves the cable over to clear the pump. My Mack dealer hasn’t been any help. The gear broke in the adapter and I need one. I would ask any big used Mack parts supplier like Matt Pfahl, Global Truck Traders or Sparr on that thing. Too probably it was used by other truck makers of those years but unfortunately I'm not familiar with any other cases. br549 Posted April 24, 2019 Share Posted April 24, 2019 That is a 1-1 ratio used to clear the supply pump if I remember correct. You don't need if you can get your tach cable to go in straight. The part # is 119AX5247, not sure if it goes to a volvo world #. Last time I check years ago it was the price of a couple Disney tickets. Our's worked with it.
