Woo-hoo!

Thank you Paul!

It took me a bit of head scratching to figure out what model of the truck is displayed. Definitely it's NO 6x6.

Of original components there could be recognized chassis on 12.00-24 Budd wheels, front bumper with heavy winch, front fenders, hood and grill.

Any ideas on where the picture was taken?

It was taken in Toronto Canada 1956 or so.

You're correct Bob. The truck pictured is a model NO. The Mack N model indeed had the Budd cab that was also used by Ford and others.

The truck pictured might be a Memphis Equipment Company conversion. Years ago, they bought many NOs and refurbed them with enclosed cabs.

Boy I sure wish I was old enough with deep pockets back in the 50" The NO and Diamond t's and let us not skip the Kenworth wreckers  and the big Ward Lafrance wrecker That I would have loved to buy All the heavy towing companies were buying surplus ,House movers used Diamond T tank transporter, and  some of those old wreckers worked up into the eighties if not later.

Towing company I bought my B from had a big Autocar wrecker that was sold many years ago.  It showed up on Facebook, someone posted a pictures of this beast sitting in a lot looking well worn.  It is currently in Canada somewhere.  I asked owner about it, it was sold because he couldn't keep a driver that knew how to drive something that old(three sticks, no power steering, etc).
