I doubt Macungie printed Venecuella tags and put them onto the doors before shipping out the kits.

Wonder what was meant as EE6 engine? Econodyne instead of EM6 Maxidyne?

Actually the tags would be included in the kit. Mack in Caracas Venezuela. The units were shipped there as a full knock down assemblies, so the Caracas factory would have assembled chassis,  drive train and added cab assembly. Different from the normal KDA's because of import tariffs they would be shipped as separate sub assemblies..

Obviously pretty unusual to take a boat ride back here. I can't help but wonder what a DEA dog would find if it sniffed around.

Might never have been shipped. U.S. and Venezuela's relations went sour in mid 1983 over Reagan after the F-16  fighter sale.

I had a conversation with the owner this afternoon and the truck was built in Venezuela in 1983.  Shortly thereafter, this truck and a couple of other trucks were purchased by a broker in OH because their sales fell through in Venezuela.  The truck is a spare in his fleet now but a little South American Mack resides in Massachusetts.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.
