Pick up body panels prepped, primed and almost all painted, Need to do rear panel over, I was in the process of wiping it down, got distracted (oh, look a squirrel!), forgot to wipe it down and sprayed over a bunch of lumpy stuff. I still need to do one side of 2 large panels anyway. Welded up a license plate frame from some aluminum u channel which will hold recessed leds. Should have the shell all together this wee then on to the fenders and tailgate. Popular Post 66dc75 Posted April 27, 2018 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 27, 2018 So got the fenders painted, no matter how much sanding and staring and priming and sanding, I never can see how bad of a job I did until there is paint laid on. After first coat found a whole lot of tiny craters that needed attention, so took care of that, sanded them down and painted again.It was probably the nicest weather since last fall; and the overhead door was open. Sprayed on a wet coat and said to myself I should shut the door, too late big gust of wind and I had a popcorn finish. Dad always said, if it's worth doing then it's worth doing 3 times.
