nice scraper trailer

For sure slpwlker, all the functions on the trailer are hydraulic. One can rise or lower each side of the suspension to level the load and the ramps come down with a simple push.

Second that Slpwlker! that would take longer to chain down than load. never been lucky enough to load one on a trailer that easy.........I always needed a log truck load of timbers :whistling:

gearhead, having the trailer widen hydraulically you can get in between and chain down equipment easier also.

Chain it down....?

Just lower the pan and keep it under 90. Gravity still works down under!

On the bottom of the world wouldn't it float? :)

10-4 Paul floating and shifting gear from here and there. This transformer was floated to Lyttleton Portpost-426-0-82631300-1422101014_thumb.jpgThen shifted to Timaru.

A little history about that truck. It's actually a t404 sar. Kenworth first made the sar back in the mid 70's. It ran they until 1987. Then in about 2003/4 they re released it as the truck you pictured.

The sar stand for "short australian righthand drive" and was the first Kenworth designed in Australia.

Here is a wee scraper my friend Tim moved yesterdayattachicon.gifFulton Hogan 1.jpgThe 404 has a 600 cummins and 18 speed gear boxattachicon.gifFulton Hogan 3.jpgThis truck pulls great and the new Superliner will do even betterattachicon.gifFulton Hogan 2.jpg

That is a 90,000 lb machine- I gather this thing has more rubber on the inside? tires look awfully small for that load. Don't imagine that trailer itself is light!

Thanks for the info Timmyb, this truck is a 2008 and pulls very well. I really like the Australian models. Sit higher and better looking than the states.

Red Horse, the trailer has 3 rows of 8 [][]-[][] [][]-[][]
