I've seen that one on eBay or TruckPaper, a few months ago.It is almost identical to my 1st boss's truck.Minor differences, but a '69 R711 nonetheless.Pretty straight......hmmm???......Nah,better quit lookin',the wheels are turnin' again!! :loldude:

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT..AND WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT, A TRUCK WILL HAUL IT AWAY!!! Big John Trimble,WRVA

Bigdog A lot of the older Macks were set up with split boxes as the Tri-plex, Quadbox etc were not able to take higher torque of engines. A Quadbox would be fine behind a 711 or V8-864 Mack. Another reason could be it had a power tower on auxiliary or best reason of all the person who ordered it like the split boxes. who knows.I have a few trucks with Fuller main Spicer auxiliary good trans but in my opinion a Mack Compound shifts smoother. My Brockway Plow Truck that Brocky posted a picture of the other day is the hardest shifting truck I ever drove. It is a 5X4 2 stick. Joe D.
