WANT TO BUY OR TRADE AC Mack radiator parts needed

I need an upper and lower water tanks for an early (pre 1920) AC Model. Entire radiator would work as well. Also need fire walls and fan. That is all that is left to complete my truck. 1919 Mack parts seem to be a bit scarce.

I gave an AC fan to Gary Mahan last year. He has had a lot of AC parts reproduced. You could always give him a call. Look him up under the Mahan Collection. He lives in New Jersey.

Thank you for the reply. I spoke to him some time ago but he could not help me. I think i will have to build something that looks right. hate to do that since the truck is very original and has no othe reproduction "stuff" on it.

The difference is the early AC had a round radiator with the fan being belt driven from the driveshaft and was located in the center of the radiator. The later models had a pair of verticle, square radiators on each side of the cowl and the fan was mounted on the flywheel.

What ever happened with the truck this man had I think he passed away

His name was Don Steinman, and a friend of mine.  I gave him a radiator and shaft with bearings from one of my AC's so he could complete his truck. He was able to take it to the ATHS show in Washington, but passed away a few months later. They had an auction, but it didn't sell.  I saw it for sale in Hemmings Motor News last year for a good bit of money.  Don't know if it sold.

Not really a parts truck, but a complete truck I would like to restore some day.  I have quite a few AC's I can work/play with, and Don only had the one truck.  I knew he wasn't well, so I sent him the parts so he could enjoy it while he had time left.  We shared a lot of similar interests, and I enjoyed talking with him regularly.  I will need the(replacement)  parts someday, but I don't regret sending mine to him.  This is a hobby, and it let him see his project completed.  Steelman

Yea that' was good of you to do that for him I have a fan assembly for sale it's an extra I don't think I'll need it for the early truck there's one on it already.

I have only just caught up with this. We made don some lamp brackets. May he rest in peace.

 

As for ACs if anyone has an early jug engine I know a 1917 truck in France that needs one!!!
