  1. By the end of today an amendment for congressional term limits should be introduced. This item was one of 10 that Trump claimed he would do on day one of his administration. We shall see...
  2. Wow! Also, the seller seems like a smart man.
  3. Came across this old photo of mine from 2013. Poor old girl.
  4. I'll miss the circus but you'll never convince me that a 8,000 lb, 26ft long Orca noted for prowess in hunting and social interactions belongs in a tank.
  5. Aside from the last two articles mentioned the running theme from the rest of include the follow points. 1. Numerous witnesses saw the plane where it shouldn't be and many more saw it crashing and/or wreckage. 2. Government agencies from a dozen countries failed and/or were incompetent at monitoring their airspace and conducting follow up investigations.
  6. Maybe this model? Although these doors are non-suicide.
  7. The safest place to be in a storm is behind the plow.
  8. One from the Mahan Collection. You just don't see these anymore.
  9. I've come across this truck many times on Flickr. From what I understand this is a replica. The guy that owns this truck has a few other neat cabovers and cars as well. The full Blue Mule reloaded gallery can be found here.
  10. Yes, the Customer Center is the location of the Mack Museum. It also home to the old test grounds of Mack Trucks and at one point was a customization center of some sort. Some of that activity may still go one there. Awesome place to check out. Totally worth the visit.
  11. 1940 U-10, Hercules gas engine, 4-speed, completely restored by the shops of Eastern States Construction Service. The Schramm air compressor is powered by a 4 cyl IHC diesel that starts off with gas.
  12. Brocky, to the best of my knowledge, Lipe was always based on the west side of the city. Most of the original building still stands near the corner of Geddess and Fayette. It's been repurposed of course but it's still there. Crouse-Hinds, aka Cooper Industries, aka Eaton Crouse-Hinds. That factory is still alive and well.
  13. Yes, it formerly was New Process Gear. I remember when I graduated in high school in 2000 I considered going to work there as the wages were some of the highest around. The plant had recently undergone an expansion but you really couldn't get a foot in the door without knowing someone. Fast forward 12 years and NVG was shuttered completely. From boom to bust. One of the oldest companies in town, 124 years old. There was an unofficial test track of sorts about behind the plant that was viewable from the nearest road. From time to time you would catch a glimpse of the newest Jeeps doing laps. The water tower from original plant still stands in the center of Syracuse. Someone started to paint it over it a few years back but stopped halfway through.
  14. Maybe they based their decision on this one?
  15. It last won this award in 2006. Time is a flat circle.
  16. You can take in the Macungie show in one day. I wouldn't say the same is true for past ATHS national meets, especially the York, PA show. Last year was my first year doing the self guided factory tour. I thought it was great but the bus transportation left much to be desired especially leaving the factory. There was a line of people from the gift shop to the parking lot (85+) waiting to return to the park. Bus after empty bus drove by us, burning in the hot June sun, because they were a shuttle from the employee parking lot to the main door. Meanwhile, the park bus was nowhere to be seen. After 45 minutes of this routine people were getting pissed. As it turns out the park shuttle broke down. I don't know why the employee parking lot shuttle needed two buses when it's a stone throws from the front door but the park shuttle had one. That's my rant for the day.
  17. You can support him as the candidate you voted for but that doesn't mean you have support support everything that comes out of his mouth. I would suggest not trying to reconcile or explain everything Trump says (or tweets) or you'll find yourself dizzy! I missed the previous discussion about the event but I would be curious to know how people think that the man exclusively responsible for covering Trump for The Daily News never met...not even once. I guess one is liar? Or maybe the other is just going senile with old age?
  18. Garbage. Many would have you believe the "liberal" media is the only twisting facts to suite their agenda but it really goes both ways. But anyway, New York State has around 9 million people in the work force. If we use the wacko numbers from above that means at least 10 million people have to be on welfare collecting 1200 a week(?) month(?) that puts the payout in the billions. Just plain nonsense. The state budget was only 156 Billion last year! Now, that isn't to say the welfare system is bloated or abused by many but it's nowhere as crazy as those numbers make you think.
  19. Lord have mercy if anything in the last two pages of this thread are true!
  20. The Mutter Museum in Philadelphia is a...unique experience...I wouldn't want to be caught there after dark!
  21. It's too bad about Sears and K-Mart but the times have really passed them by. Everything they sell can be found at other retailers with better stock and prices. Once you add online shopping to the mix it becomes a very dire situation. The Sears mail order catalog was the Amazon of the day, you could literally buy everything and anything from them, including homes!
