I'm Gvw'd for 133K in Montana on 11 axles 100 feet from center of steer axle to center of pup axle. Usually grossing around 128k-130k because I can't bridge anymore than that.

Canadians can legally cross the sweet grass border crossing (I 15 and at Canadian weights) and run 24 or so miles to the truck stop in Shelby where they have to drop a trailer to finish the delivery. There's real tension with some of he American truckers hauling from the same fertilizer plant in Canada but aren't allowed to cross into the US at Canadian weights and be able to drive to the same truck stop and drop a trailer. There's a big fertilizer plant about 2 miles from the truck stop so it would be worth it to drop a trailer unload and come back for the other.

Yeah it's his "legacy", free all the terrorists and bring more in and turn em loose. This is why I carry. Hope I'll never need it but wouldn't be caught dead without it. Albeit I have not watched the news in the last couple of days but Monday was disgusting listening to Diblasio and Cuomo refusing to call the bombing in New york, terrorism by another crazy Islamist.

I ran the heck out of a DT in a floater truck for years. Good, reliable engine that took any work related abuse we threw at it.

In all fairness Paul I wasn't talking directly about you. Just go take a look at nearly any trucking news KS posts and there are a few who have absolutely called the US dumb lazy cheap etc etc continually. Anything other than their view is wrong, dumb, backwards. Point being there is a far better way of discussing things other than calling one way stupid lazy cheap dumb and I think it's fair to point that out. Certainly there are better ways to do some things but like discussed above government controls it.

In what world does a compact car do the same job as my 1 ton truck? Let's see it haul my firewood, pull my horse trailer, haul my equipment around. As usual if everyone doesn't agree with you we're stupid and have blinders on. Hate to tell ya but America IS the best place in the world. Or maybe the millions of immigrants here and trying to get here are wrong. Again I'm sure you can find somewhere else that is so much better than the US. I guess since the US (being a leader and innovator for the last 150 years or so) has to conform to what everyone else thinks we should do so it can be "right".

9 gallons every two weeks?! Lucky dog, my commute is 62 miles one way. I use a cheap car I bought at a scratch and sent sale for commuting be on my days off I use one of my trucks for my other endeavors off road or hauling stuff.

Could see from a mile away this conversation going as the typical US is dumb and stupid. How come Americans are supposed to be so open to everyone else's ideas and methods but on here there are a few that do nothing but bash how stupid, dumb, cheap, backwards, behind the times we are? I could be rude and say a few things but I won't. Ever consider why we truck the way we do? Maybe it's because weights and regs are state by state which directly ties in to our free choice in our democracy i.e. Let the states decide for themselves. Ever wonder why US trucking companies are "cheap"? Likely because we have a ton of companies and entrepreneurs fighting for every load in a cut throat business and don't forget the railroad as well. I think American trucking companies are far more sophisticated and crafty than they are given credit for. They have to be to stay afloat. Then again people like me couldn't possibly know because I pull an A train not the much more sophisticated, desirable, better B train. I know the "American trucking business" are dumb supporters are few on here but I still think they could talk about differences in trucking rather than blast the US. If I started calling every other countries way of doing business, dumb, stupid, lazy, cheap people would think I'm an arrogant American a-hole. Besides wasn't there just a thread on how dumb us Americans are for not driving cabovers and that argument was about OAL being shorter? Now Americans are dumb for not going long enough?

And heaven forbid a parent actually gets held accountable for what I would guess is the majority of kids troubles in school. Parents let them stay up too late, don't instill good work ethic I.e. Homework/studying and if the teacher tries to correct bad behavior with what very little theta can do parents call up and yell at a teacher for making their baby mind. My wife's a teacher and there's no way in hell is last more than a week at that job. First mouthy kid gets slapped and when their parents come in to complain about me slapping their kid, I'd slap them too. Sounds harsh I know but enough of this raising sissies that don't mind and alway get a trophy no matter what.

And people still think Obummer, Hillary, John Kerry and the rest of the crooks are doing an alright job. Read my to lines in my signature. Theyre absolutely true and ARE happening.
