  4. They say -06 at airport in Avoca,Pa. tonite, I live in Mount Cobb so we are good for -10. No problem in 16 days Wife and I are going on Caribbean Cruise for a week then stay at our Son's place in Boca Raton for 1 week. Joe D.
  5. All of the above sound good to me. Mark I bet you miss Taylor Pork Roll also.I worked in Port Newark in 70'S nothing like stopping by one of the lunch wagons and get a pork roll egg and cheese on a fresh hard roll with a coffee of course.Every region has their specialties. Joe D.

  7. Breakfast was Kielbasi and Eggs with home made Pierogies fresh rye toast. Dinner halushkie(cabbage and noodles) ham and fresh carrots. Joe D.
  8. No doubt 24" rubber will handle the load,problem I see with them is price and very limited avaibility.I had them on a IH Paystar 5000 once. In my 30'S I handled them by myself but now 63 not so sure.Joe D.
  9. As was said use the low hole in first or reverse only. That trans was not designed to split gears like a du-plex. Kind of unusual to see that trans in a single axle.Good luck. Joe D.

  15. Same legend where I live in Northeast, Penna. supposedly a junkyard in Gouldsboro,Pa. had crates of Indian Motor Cycles from the 40'S. No truth to the matter when they tore buildind down. Joe D.

  17. I hate to say it but Mack Trucks as we want to remember them is all but done. I wish it was different but the writing is on the wall. I ran a few R-Models and 1 F-Model good trucks.Joe D.

  19. I live and have trucks registered and insured antique. It must be 25 years old to register with antique plates. They were $75.00 one time purchase. I have J.C. Taylor for some very reasonable but trucks only no trailers other trucks with Gulfway from Bayonette Point, Florida with them you can pull your own trailers with your own antique trucks if Gulfway insures them.No commercial or for hire with either company.Joe D.
  20. Daily Diesel the green 359 Brockway belongs to Fred Depew from Madison Township,Penna. It has a 8V-71 Detroit 13 speed drop in Rockwell Rears with Rockwell suspension. Joe D.

  22. After 42 years as an owner operator I am happy in a certain way I am about to retire. I enjoyed it imenselyfor the most part,but with all the new electronics and auto this and that I would not want to buy a new truck.I ran 48 States for the first 15 years then tri-axle dump for the rest.Even with the tri-axle I worked from Conn. to Florida and parts and service were never a problem if needed. I hope the reliablty issues with todays trucks gets solved. Joe D.

  24. The truck nicknamed Jap Freightliner was the White 7000 it wasd a boxy cab like Ford W-Series.A lot of fleets ran them Mclean, Wilson,ETMF and a host of others. Joe D.
