  1. Mike, Nice old Bulldog. Looks like a truck is supose to look like. I've TRIED.....but just can't get used to a beautiful classic horse all screwed up with goddy big stacks, bumpers dragging on the ground(90% of them are bent) and chicken lites plastered all over the place. I wish they would save this stuff for the new junk. Just my opinion....don't want to offend anyone, to each his own. John
  2. I might be wrong, but I think the B-87 uses a dropped floor pan like a B-75,73 and a 77, so if you are lucky enough to find one...make sure it's the right one. John
  3. Rod, Can you give us an update ? John
  4. Andy, Here's some : Concrete Cowboys - Jerry Reed & Tom Selick in a B-61 wrecker Moonfire - Chuck Napier and two beautiful Mack Westerns Beverley(sp) Hills Cop- Mack mixer One of the "Die Hard" 's ?? - Bruce Willis in a B-80's dump truck Title-??? The bad ass martial dude with black ponytail(can't think of his name right now) plays a government agent and they run a nice DM off the side of a mountain Thats all I can think of now. John
  5. I'm not sure I understand your question? John
  6. I think they quit using that style of grill in 69 or 70. What do you think, Mike H. ? John
  7. Our B-75 with Duplex direct, 22" rubber and 4.62 rear runs 57 MPH at 2100 RPM or 52MPH at 1900 rpm. If you have a 4.5 ratio it should run 53 MPH at 1900 or 59 at 2100 Rpm. John
  8. If you get it , it's too nice to let a driver tear it up ! ! John
  9. I'm glad I'm not your neighbor , Mike . If I was , I wouldn't get nothing done around the house when I get inn.........always be at your place having fun ! ! ! John
  10. Tom, Was hanging that iron last trip, anything like a group of truckdrivers trying to thaw a steak in a microwave????? John
  11. Larry, I think the pan will bolt up all right , but we just put new gaskets and painted the new pan and if I remember right.. I think the pick-up for the oil pump was a little different. John
  12. It's looking good !! I know what you run into with starter. We put a 237 in place of our 673 and thought we would use the 673 flywheel housing to keep things simple as we had to change flywheel and clutch to use our tanns. WRONG !! The starter won't fit alongside the pan. The 673 pan has a slite taper for starter clearance and the Maxidyne don't. Also, the spin-on oil filters and steering box on the B-75 collide. Had to use Baldwin B-75 ( yes,B-75 is the Baldwin # !! ) because they are shorter and clear the steering box. We used our front mount from our 673 and put it on the 237. Your's would'nt work ?? Keep the photos coming . John
  13. If your going to trash talk Mark.....let us know details. John
  14. Those look like Valley Protein tractors. If they are..... they have been in a very STINKING environment. The rendering business !! John
  15. I don't know about Tim,.... but I almost got a golf cart with a load meat one evening on the trail. John
  16. When I was a kid, ( still am a kid at heart !! ) I spent many hours with Dad in his B-61 and I don't remember it being that noisy. Maybe it was and I just don't remember ?? Our B-75 is not bad without a muffler, but it's turboed. I'm trying to post an old photo of me in the B-61. We'll see if it works. John
  17. Put the flywheel housing from your B on the R engine.....but check oil pan to see if the starter will fit. I learned the hard way that a b-model pan has a slight taper so there is starter clearence. you may be able to swap pans also ??? John
  18. Doug, Sorry for the late reply, but I need to be in the right mood to sit here and peck at this keyboard. It takes me forever to type a message. Those radiators probably won't go to far, so when I have time to stop, ( new 14 hour rule has been playing hell on my back road treasure hunts ) I'll get some photos and price. Where do you get to in PA ? E-mail me your e-mail address so we can talk in private . jtwoge@zoominternet.net , John
  19. K- Whopper, I'm going to try this for the third time. I'm not having much luck with this new site. John
