  1. I am assuming one that has a hole in the block !
  2. Mine does the same thing ! So I don't use it till it's good an warm. Also they are a pretty penny. E9 takes same silinoids as an E6 with dynatard. Got to have a thin wrench to get them out of the rocker shaft.
  3. Currently looking at a 2000 model CL with a 427. I know all about the rest of the truck. My question is , is the motor any good ? The newest motor we have now is a E7 350 mechanical. This will be all foreign to me going electronic. I don't really want to but truck is all set up the way I want it otherwise. I know I can surely put an old E6 in it if I have to. Would love to hear some experiences with this engine !! Forgot to mention it has 450k miles !
  4. I went through this 2 years ago. All lifters are the same E6 E7 E9. Just updated and not cheap anymore. But when going to the new lifter you have to change push rods on either the exhaust or intake I cannot remember. The radius in the top of the new updated lifter is different. There is some service bulletins on this. I'm sure someone here can provide.

  14. 46 is just air ride version of 44.
  15. 44 are avalible in a cast or fabricated housing. Cast housings are heavier if you are trying to save weight get fabricated. I cannot say one is stronger than the other we have had both and have had no problems.
  16. I will look I have 6 of those motors laying around.
