  1. Well, I took my dad and showed them to him this weekend. I may be dragging them home if he wants them. I sure hate to let them go across the pond to certain doom.
  2. No connection. Just thought the daycab MH was cool. Any chance it could be ex UPS? http://jonesboro.craigslist.org/pts/4124813930.html
  3. I know where there's two '86 triaxle DM's and a '94 triaxle DM sitting in Stuttgart, AR. They're all mixer trucks and all have 10.00 20's on spokes, but they're in pretty good shape. No creature comforts such as a/c or radios, but pretty solid. My dad wants to get a hold of one of the '86's to make a dump truck out of. The 86's are 237 and 2 stick 6 speeds, and the '94 is a 300 and t2070. I threw a number out there, 5 grand for each '86, and he jumped at it.
  4. That's pretty neat. I always liked the little Mack switch engines, the ones that looked like two AC cabs, back to back.
  5. That's awful! I remember reading somewhere, (It may have been here,) about a 12v brock like that that was going under a pretty extensive restoration. That wasn't it, was it?
  6. Aw come on now, a DM don't look right on anything but spokes!

  8. That's my plan, too. I hear they've got stupid gun laws, though.
  9. Are you sure the Cummins got swapped in? Sure it's not a factory Cummins truck? All I've ever heard that suspension called is 4 spring. It looks good, man. I wish it wasn't so far away.
  10. Liberals go to rodeos? Must have been PETA..........
  11. That's awful. May he RIP. I didn't know there was a law against having a blade facing forward, but I always haul my loader and my trackhoe facing backwards on my tag trailer. It just works better that way, with it being a tilt top and being able to put more weight towards the tongue to keep the deck down. As for the turbo, I've got a retired Ariat cowboy boot I put over the exhaust to keep the draft out.
  12. 7.3 = virtually trouble free. 6.0 and 6.4, not so much. I hear good things about the new 6.7's, though.
  13. I used to run it up to around 1600, pop the go pedal, knock it in neutral, and wait on the needle to pass 1100 or so, and stick it in the next hole. That was on the few trucks I drove that had a tach that still worked. It seemed to be about the same on a 5, 6, or 7 speed. Somebody on here made me laugh the other day. They said run up the RPM's, knock it in neutral, pull out your favorite book, read a paragraph or two, then grab the next gear. Lol
  14. There's one on eBay for $700, but I bet I could find you a used one around here cheaper.
  15. Didn't get any yet, but as soon as I do y'all will be the first to see them! It's pretty straight, and I bet it won't take alot to get it running. Just some clean fuel, some new filters, and a good firm tug with the old f350, I'm hoping. They said the only thing wrong with it is a broken shifting fork, and it's missing a driver's seat.
  16. I made a sweet deal on a '61 G model single axle sleeper cab yesterday. It pulled a flat bottom grain trailer hauling rice on a farm in Brinkley, Arkansas until they parked it sometime in the 80's. they said it ran, but had a broke shifting fork. I currently have a good triplex in a '66 f model but it's gonna be headed to Mr. Harbison's Iowa Mack plantation soon. My question is, is there any place to get new parts for an old Mack gearbox, or is my best bet to find a take out? I didn't get a chance to get any pics of the truck yet, but I'll get y'all some shortly.
  17. That truck is gorgeous, Mr. Doug. I made a deal on a '61 G model sleeper cab single axle the other day. I hope it looks half as good as yours someday.
