  1. Well, I'd like to straight pipe it, but I've got to figure out a way to make the mounting brackets and grab handles work. Plus, a couple of mufflers only set me back $150 for now.
  2. I ran up on this old Value Liner on craigslist down in Mississippi this weekend and went and drove her 125 miles back home Sunday. E6 350, T2090, 4.17 Mack carriers on Neway Air ride. It's going to take a little TLC but overall she's pretty straight. The driver's side muffler rotted out on top and the stack blew off, so I'm in the process of putting a couple of new mufflers on it.
  3. There's one at Caldwell Tractor Sales in Marvell, AR. It's been there for years. I guess the old football helmets aren't in very high demand.
  4. I buy it at our Case IH dealer. We've been using it for years. Good stuff. I've got the same problem with my MH. I don't think it's currently inhabited, but Mike said they got in the mattress. Any ideas on how to get that old stale mouse smell out?
  5. My cousin is looking at buying an '06 CH dump with a Mack 18 speed. Neither one of us are familiar with them. Are they any good? It'll be off road almost as much as it's on pavement.
  6. Do you have a piece of hose hooked to the drain spout sticking out of the firewall? I had the same problem when I bought my RD. After a little looking around, I noticed the water would drip out the end of the spout, then trickle back down the bottom of the pipe and end up in the floor. I stuck a 2 foot piece of hose on and have had a dry floor ever since.
  7. I need a pair of fender emblems for a 1995 Ford F350 XL pickup. You can still get the XLT emblems from Ford or eBay, but the XL's are discontinued. I painted my truck and apparently misplaced the old ones somewhere.
  8. The wife and I are headed up from honeymooning in Branson tomorrow morning. Hope to see you guys there.
  9. That's not too far from me... May have to call and check it out.
  10. I've had pretty good luck painting the plastic pieces with SEM flexible coating. I believe medium gray was about the closest match I found. I used it on a dash, heater box cover, etc... about six years ago and it still looks good.
  11. A friend of mine that hauls cows sent me that... Apparently that guy is from Memphis and they stretch their own trucks. I'm pretty sure i've seen this one come through town before. I'm with you on the under slung frame rail brace. I'm sure the factory frame was just butt spliced and the gusset was just welded flange to flange. Backwoods engineering on a highway truck. Always a good combination. '
  12. Man, oh man. That is one nice truck, Mr. Mike. I hope whoever gets her treats her as good as you have all these years.
  13. I bought a steer axle out from under an ex Waste Management DM that was in the late 80's, and it had wedges. Apparently they spec'd their trucks with wedges on the steer and cams on the back. What were the pro(s) on those things, Al? I've never heard anything good about them.
  14. Man, I hope you get your health back in check. I hate to hear you're quitting the game. Got another line of work in mind after you get rested up?
  15. Everything's good! I blew a tire and left the MH at the Conoco in Palmyra, MO. A friend of mine said he'll be coming through there with an empty lowboy sometime this week so I'm just going to pay him to take it from there. Other than that, she's mighty nice! Thanks, Mike. Maybe next time we'll have more time to visit.
  16. I'd say the biggest issue is it has wedge brakes.
  17. Here's the DM I drove for my cousin when I got out of high school, and the RD I own now.
  18. Very nice! Where did you find the glove box? I didn't think there was one of those left that hadn't been beat to hell.

  20. Looks to be pretty rust free. http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/cto/4423269102.html
  21. My friend Larry's off road wrecker. It's a beast to drive. No brakes and 3rd gear isn't there. He usually hauls it out to the jobsite. It'll pull hell off the cross, though.
  22. The dumba$$ running it decided to bail off in a hole, then swung the cab to the downhill side and the water reached the computer, shutting it down. That's the best I can figure. It had been a boat anchor for two months or better the first time I saw it. He could have patched the hole in the levee before he crossed it. I have no idea why he didn't.
