  1. Looks great. Just looking to have a shirt embroidered for when I take the B to the shows.
  2. I own a landscape business with ten of thousands of dollars in small equipment. Ethanol is killing the engines. There is no stations near us in CT that sell straight gas. Also- all trucks are diesels. All four of them have had their tanks, fuel lines, pumps, and injectors replaced due to low sulphur. Same happened to my diesel jetta. Had to replace everything from the tank forward. Fuel pump broke apart into a million pieces. Luckily everything is still under warranty. I had a 88 dodge that had a similar problem. Turned out it was a $2.00 part that was near the distributor that sent current to fuel pump once it acknowledged a spark. No spark, fuel pump would shut down.
  3. Rob, if I send you a couple shirts could you embroider them for me. Would be happy to pay.
  4. Check out the cole Hersey catalog. They probably have something similar. Also check out napa auto parts horn button. That may have something similar. It is black plastic though. When all else fail- eBay!
  5. If you give the Mack museum the vin they will send you all the info they have on it. You can try to call the Mack curator Don and see if he can tell you anything over the phone or with emailed pictures. Nice find. It is neat to see some unusual b models.
  6. I would imagine the grease seal was made of leather.
  7. Another rumor to be put to rest. I have heard that if a Mack had the gold dog that meant it did not have a Mack engine. Is that the case?
  8. Thanks for the info about the black boxes. Regarding the jake I have heard stories, and it may be stories that if they ran the jake too long past idle the engine would run in reverse. Not sure that is even possible! My little B20 weighs 9100lbs. So the guess of 11k is probably pretty close, hence, built like a Mack truck!
  9. For you commercial drivers. What are the boxes between the steering wheel in one of the first pictures. Quite a find.
  10. I saw them. Caps on eBay have been the Mack jr. Mine simply say Mack. Thanks.
  11. Thanks Paul. I wil give Kevin a call. He rebuilt my engine and lives very close to my family. I appreciate the response! You going up to mass this year for the show or flohram park? Looking to get into a few shows this year. Pete
  12. Does look good. If you know of any B20's let me know.
  13. she looks a bit tired for that price. cab is in poor shape. there are pictures on ebay of some major cab rot not posted here. For 2500 its a nice project for someone with time, for 4 grand i would not touch it. does anyone get the wheels of time magazine? there is a beautiful B61 from texas for 9K. worth looking at.
  14. I met bkrois several times during the restoration of my truck. You guys have any questions about where to find a particular truck he knows where it is, or has a picture of it. He is a great resource to have. Makes me sad when people would rather see their iron sit out and rust rather than let someone restore them. Pete
  15. Wrap a chain around those rims and let the air out of them. I was told that is the safest way to store them. That ring can be deadly. If I am wrong, please let me know. Nice job on the truck. Mack museum sent us all the info on our truck. Who bought it from the factory, plus the entire service manual. Which is a hg help.
  16. The seller is redhead controller. Wonder if the carpet matches the drapes?
  17. If you shoot em, make sure you drag them into your house and claim it as self defense. Outside your home you are looking at murder charges. Your dog will know when they are there well before you do. Reward the good behavior. Be safe!
  18. If you can send a picture I will help you out. I have a few laying around. Just need to see if B model is Same as your application.
  19. Looking for where I can purchase Mack hub caps for my lIttle B model. The ones at watts Mack are not the correct style. I need the ones that fit inside the hub not over. If anyone knows if the ones I have can be restored please let me know. Also looking for the two front hooks that mount to the front bumper. Thanks, Pete
  20. Nice job man. You will be shocked by what the museum will send you. We donated my great grandfathers Mack tools. Little did we know how rare they were. One of the wrenches was to adjust the chain on the ac Mack. Don was very happy.
  21. Try Kevin all at All Mack's. He rebuilt my engine. I also found a company in Puerto Rico that has a lot of gas engine parts. I forget the name- nor did I order anything, but they ad it all.
  22. I am trying to head up to Springfield this year. Also Florham Park. If you have any questions I recommend calling Dennis Meehan from oldmacks.com. He has a lot of information. Enjoy the truck!
