  1. The reversing valve( I guess that's what you call it) on the intake on mine has two lines coming out of it, one goes to pump, other to firewall to brake release. I also have a fitting something like a petcock which seems like a plug when I took it out. The valve on my parts truck had pipe plugs in every port so what I'm wondering is should I have another line going to the third port to make it work? At $250 for a new one I like to make sure mine is bad. It was unhooked when I got it but it smokes worse than I'd like.
  2. If everyone would just park them for a week it might put a stop to everything they keep trying to pass. I know it will never happen though. They used to go on strike but I don't ever see it happening now.

I was at R+R Mack and he said he would have to call the supplier. He said they were a hundred and some odd dollars before. He checked on it and called me back and said $250 plus shipping and I said no thanks.

Does anyone know if you can get the reversing valve for on the the intake anywhere besides Mack. They can get it but it's $250 plus shipping. I can't see that much for all that's to it.
  5. Very nice. It looks like Penndot yellow.
  6. I used it on my Ch frame and oil pan and both rusted. I didn't think it held up any better than any other paint. I top coated it also. What ever they put on the roads around here in the winter eats through everything though.
  7. Its actually a R690. I don't know where I got the 685 from and the motor has been changed.
  8. Thanks it will look a little better when I get everything shined up. Thank you
  9. I told her to go stand by it when I took the one of the right side but she said no. I didn't even pay attention she was in it until I posted them. She deserves a lot of credit on helping.
  10. Finally got it pretty much together, had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and I think I screwed that up by not taking it easy but have to much to try and get done. The 10 speed is in and rears are changed, all that's left is getting it poli shed up and a little work on the pump and I should be on the road. Only took 2 months longer than I thought. There's even a picture of its big brother that still needs finished.
  11. I bought one of my the plastic ones on eBay. I don't know how long it's going to last though. It didn't fit the opening either I had to do some trimming on the sides and weld some tabs along the bottom.
  12. Congrats on last weekend and good luck this weekend
  13. I had an 89 R model with E 6 350 and 9 speed pulled dump and it did real good.
  14. Thanks, I wasn't sure I took this out of a Mh and the air line went up into the cab behind the dash and I gave up trying to figure out where it went.
  15. I pulled the 5 speed out of my 85 R model and I'm putting a Mack T2100 10 speed in it. Can I get the air supply right from the air tank or does it need regulated down and if so where should I tee in at?
  16. I spent Monday night at the Flying J in Lake Station In and I saw the Ch and r models parked there and on Thursday I was headed out to Portage In and saw both sets headed east on In toll road.
  17. Ok thanks I googled the number and Worldwide Equip had the b one listed for all E6 engines wasn't sure if they were the same or not. I'll get one tomorrow. Thanks again.
  18. Makes sense I wasn't sure what it was. Never replaced one before so just checking. The old one has a wear ring so that's what I would like to put back in it. It doesn't have the original engine so vin number does parts guys no good.
  19. What is the difference between the 57GC186A and a 57GC186B?
  20. Okay thanks, I didn't think it looked right but nowadays you never know.
  21. The number on the invoice is 446GC00310P1. The number on the seal is 446GC3118. The number on my old seal is 446GC238. This is a picture of the new seal and what looks like a plastic wear ring. I've never put one of these in before and I only want to do it once so I want to make sure I have the right part.
  22. Thanks I didn't think it looked right
