  1. Thanks for the info. I figured it would be quite a bit heavier than an r cab but wasn't sure how much. I would like to get it off the frame but hate to have it get away from me. It's not in that great of shape but I don't want to smash it in case someone could use it.
  2. Thanks, I was thinking somewhere in there. My forklift is good for about 4000 and I figured the cab would be a little over that.
  3. Thanks to the end of coal mining the company that built the mining machines in town is closing next month. When things were good they employed around 1000 people. I made good money hauling out of there but all good things come to an end.
  4. I might be interested in getting rid of the whole cab. I will probably take the drivers seat out and I don't think there's much else I can use. I would like to know what it weighs, I don't know if I can get it off with my forklift or not. Let me know
  5. Anyone have a rough idea what a Mh cab weighs
  6. Anything in particular your looking for?
  7. I have a set of 4.42 in the Mh I got for parts.
  8. I'm swapping trans and rearends and getting motor turned up and I think I'll be fine. I hope.
  9. Do you still have this, if so how much? Thanks
  10. I bought it with 300 and some thousand miles on it and sold it with almost a million on it and it was always that way. Everywhere I ever took it said that's the way they were. It never let me down though and it's still running.
  11. Thanks, that's kinda what I thought
  12. Thanks. Im just trying to get it to look half decent.
  13. I checked today 5.73 I think that explains the 60 mph.
  14. It looks better I the picture than in person. Frame is spread pretty bad under fifth wheel. The cab would need a lot of work. Everything under cab is rusty.
  15. Why would it be a parts truck? I have a 350 if I need it and I have a 10 speed so what's the problem in swapping them. Maybe where your from a good solid r model is easy to come by but around here they're not. I guess I didn't mention the 250 is an 87. I was told it was a 300 when I bought it but it didn't seem right on the way home. My bad for not looking at engine tag before I bought it.
  16. Will do. Bought it mainly for spare motor, trans, rears and anything else that might work on my r or superliner.
  17. Pretty rough. Just bought it for parts mainly
  18. Its a 250 Econodyne if that matters. I had 237 with a 5 speed before but on this one you have to let it die way down to shift and then its dead trying to pick it back up and that was bobtailing so i don't know what its going to be like loaded. It only runs up to around 1700 rpm. I had an Econodyne 350 in my 89 and it ran 2100.
  19. Do you mean i can't put the back of the 10 on the 5 or that i can't put the 10 in it. I just bought a MH with the 10 hoping i could use it.
  20. Im with you. New stuff doesn't excite me much. I tore my Superliner down over 3 years ago to fix a few things but got carried away with it. This ones getting prettied up a little and going to work. No def, no eld, no problem.
  21. i have an 85 r model with a 5 speed and i bought an 84 mh with a 10 speed and was wondering if the back section of the 10 speed would just bolt to the 5 speed and if so is there much to it or would it be easier to change trans. I thought maybe it would be easier than pulling trans. out of both trucks. Never had a trans apart so not sure whats involved.
  22. Made new mounts today, not perfect but alot better than what we had. The mud flap i used wasn't the same thickness everywhere but i think it will work okay.
