  1. Are you sure it is "food"?
  2. Where can I buy Fresh Cab?
  3. Perhaps a MH with a purrin' kitty cat engine? I'll take a 3408. Maybe I need a pu$$y in the sleeper.... There are enough coyotes, foxes (4 legged), and buzzards around. You would think one or more would take care of the mice. They take care of the wabbits and kittens. When I shoot a ground pig, it is gone the next morning.....something had a good midnight snack.
  4. Today I started "spit shining" the MH in preparation for Watt's show on Saturday. I opened the passenger side compartment and sunny beach! Damn mouse/mice shredded a roll of paper towels. So I ventured to the driver's side and sunny beach....same thing! They even started on the roll of paper towels on the dog house and the box of tissues. DAMN!!!!! So I spent the morning cleaning the crap out of the truck. I never did see a mouse but there were lots of mouse turds around. So I put all the paper towels in a plastic bag which hopefully will deter the varmits. I was just in the truck last week and everything was okay. Damn varmit must have moved in during the weekend and did not lose any time making nests. To add insult to injury....I have boxes of moth balls everywhere and have for the past several years. I heard they will keep the critters away. Well I must have a moth ball resistant mouse. So MH has a new meaning.....MOUSE HOUSE! I just hope one of the critters doesn't decide to show its face on the drive to Watt's. Or I may have stained shorts and a potential wrecked MH. BTW, did I tell you I HATE mice and ground hogs and squirrels and chipmonks and snakes and rabbits and rats?
  5. Party at Mike's house....but he does not have a Mack (or FWD) that we can vandalize cruise with TK wimmin. Maybe Yardo will show up with his FWD loaded with TK NITs. Then we can get the horses drunk and ride.....sorry I mean ride the horses and get the wimmin drunk. BTW, have an enjoyable vacation and be safe.
  6. I see a new Mack in Green Dash's future.
  7. I am too lazy to research but I have a question... What is the difference in a Diamond T versus a Diamond REO? A short explanation is acceptable.
  8. Finished product...used the old grille sections and bolts.
  9. Looks good...none of that fake woodgrain stuff.
  10. I heard the same story about the tire....ferris wheel (at a World's Fair?). I think it was originally a Goodyear tire and also it counted the number of cars built in Detroit since January 1 of that year.
  11. Hey Yardo....are you paying attention....used a Mack
  12. Mike, Powder coat would definitely be best but I did not want to remove the CAC. Perhaps next time when I do a frame-up restoration.
  13. I Scotch-Brited and painted the CAC last week. Where the black paint flaked off the CAC showed light corrosion (from road salt). I did the best I could to get the "white powder" off before repainting. I am happy with the end result. The BBQ Rustyoleum paint matched perfectly. Some pics after Scotch-Brite, before painting, and after. Going to reinstall the grille this week before Watt's show. I will post final pic when completed.
  14. Upon further review...it definitely looks like it is "dog tracking".
  15. Check eBay or Mack dealer for manual. If the dash is the same as the CX series, the dash light dimmer is on the top row It is the one with a lever rather than a toggle (headlamp and clearance lamp switches are to the left).
  16. Barry, I will be there if the weather is decent. Hopefully it will not be a "mudcungie". I am thinking about leaving at o'dark:30 and stopping at Dean's Diner in Blairsville for breakfast. See ya on Saturday!
  17. Matt has a banner at the top of the page (click on it). If the banner is not there, wait and it will eventually scroll thru.
  18. NICE! You need to drive it to Watt's show on Saturday. Be there or be square!
  19. Fred, Can't "quote" or "copy and paste" with WIN8.1. But to answer your question "where is the main cab ground".... Looking at the MH electrical manual (8-505), the cab/chassis ground runs thru the main wiring harness. The junction box/chassis ground cable is located behind the LH (driver's side) headlamp. There is a multi-pin (21 pole) connector and what looks like a separate wire. Not sure if the chassis ground runs thru the connector or it is the separate wire. I am in OH and not at the MH so I cannot be more explicit. I suspect there is a connection to the frame on the LH side. Maybe the "all knowing" (this is a compliment) 39 Baby Mack Ron can be of more help. Upon further review, the separate wire loom has the chassis ground. There are four wires that run from the circuit breaker box (2-ammeter shunt, master circuit breaker, and starter relay). The chassis ground is along this group of wires. The ground wire is identified as 6B (6 gauge black?). I am no electrician so I hope this makes sense. It is shown on the CAB WIRING HARNESS skizmatic (page 21 in my book). Flip open the page and it is in the lower left corner next to the 21-pin connector (MAIN CAB TO ENGINE CONNECTION.
  20. Getting concerned about Paul. He still has not logged on since July 11th. I sure hope he is okay. He had a health related issue recently. I hope and pray he (and his family) are doing okay. Anyone know Paul personally? Perhaps you can get us an update.
  21. It must be your "electrifying" personalities!
  22. And then they put beet juice or similar substance in the solution so it sticks to everything and can't wash it off.
  23. Definitely sounds like a dash ground issue. I believe MHfred stated the dash ground is behind the speedo/tach. Also check the ground for the switch panel. I had an issue when I turned on the headlights the fuel gauge would go to "E". I run a ground wire from the gauge to a panel screw. Also had an issue of no headlights. Found a loose connector on the dimmer switch.
  24. Glider uses VIN of replacement truck. Older VIN = older engine.
