  1. JT - sounds like you are making some progress. As others have mentioned - time can be your biggest "friend" or "enemy". Keep plugging away and one day you will see your accomplishments. I sure hope you can bring your General to Macungie for us to get a closer look.
  2. You can leave the back door open. And if it rains, I will park the trailer so the water runs out.
  3. 2500psi is the injection pressure for a pre-chamber engine. Most early DI engines were in the 5000 to 7500psi. Later DI P-L-N engines were pushing 15K psi. Today's unit injector engines are in excess of 30K psi. Higher inejction pressure and finer atomization of the fuel promotes complete combustion for more power, better fuel economy, and lower exhaust emissions.
  4. JT - I will rent you a few moving blankets and you can sleep in the "hospitality" trailer with Vlad.
  5. I'm with you Larry!
  6. Contact the Mack Museum for permission to reproduce (copyright release).
  7. Nice post Denny! See you in a few weeks. Be safe and tell Ruth Ann hello. BTW, where is the pic of you working?
  8. Welcome!
  9. I am only licensed for 26K but I am up for an adventure.
  10. Likely all the lines are the same length but you should make each new line identical to the old line.
  11. As long as you don't run "full power" you should be okay without lead substitute. I think most HD truck engines had hardened valve seats.
  12. I am guessing older pump-line-nozzle systems are in the 7500 psi range.
  13. All set for Macungie! Here is my schedule: Thursday Arrive Fogelsville Hawthorne Suites around noon Hotel check-in Drive to Macungie Park, register, and park the truck/trailer Bum ride back to hotel (or unhook trailer and drive MH to hotel) Dinner???? Friday Bum ride from hotel to show Friday night potluck at Park Bum ride back to hotel (or unhook trailer and drive MH to hotel) Saturday Bum ride from hotel to show (or drive MH if unhooked) BMT group photo at 12Noon Drive truck/trailer to hotel after show Dinner???? Sunday Hotel check-out Return to Roaring Spring
  14. Fuel injection lines are typically all the same length (all cylinders 1-6). Also the wall thickness of a brake line is not thick enough. Best to just go buy a set or have a fuel pump shop make them.
  15. Today I switched the trailer title from AZ to OH without any issues. Also got license. Let me just say...."A bunch of BS from the license bureau." I went to another location and everything was okay.
  16. I agree...used oil analysis. But UOA will not detect "big" pieces. "Big" pieces need a particle count/analysis.
  17. Thanks BC, I see item 49 but I agree with you...poor connections within the dash panel (perhaps on the circuit boards). If all the gauges, lights, etc. are erratic it is likely a cab ground issue. If only a select few gauges, etc. then an internal ground.
  18. I agree, ground issue but finding it another story. There are a lot of connectors under the dash but again I do not see a common connector for the cab. My only suggestion is to start with the main connector and work from there. The schematic shows individual grounds but no common connection. If you don't have a schematic I will try to scan mine and email to you. Electronics....don't ya' just love them! Where are you located?
  19. Yum, yum! I had grilled brats, burgers, and onions along with cabbage salad. Couldn't find Bob Evans brats so I bought Johnsonville. They ended up about 1/2 of uncooked size. Never liked Johnsonville and will never buy them again. Sorry no pic.
  20. That is what I thought. What is the diameter of the ring? The big piece in the lower left kinda looks like part of a thrust bearing.
