  1. Thanks James Your truck is indeed number 36 on the registry. The VIN also coincides with what I know to be the 1945 "range" of numbers (although haven't confirmed first and last chassis for that or any year yet). Cheers and many thanks. Andy
  2. Speed All I need to enter you on the register is the chassis number of the truck and your name, address (town and state are fine) and any other contact details you may want to add. The reason? What can be a better reason for letting the world know you own an E?! Just doing it as a historical record of preserved/surviving Es and hoping to help bring owners together. Plus you get the occassional email from me filled with something E-related (E News in more way than one!). Just something else to spread the love for old Macks. You'll be entry 36 on the registry if you decide to list. At about 50 entries, the first published E registry will be made available in pdf format. Cheers Andy
  3. Congratulations Speed! Way to go, you've certainly got a truck that creates some passion but it is a Mack after all! Looking forward to welcoming you the E Model Registry. Hint hint! Cheers Andy
  4. Great find, Chris. Good luck with the restoration and life with a B! Cheers Andy
  5. She may just hang around long enough for you to collect enough folding stuff! You never know! Cheers Andy
  6. Speed, sorry to hear the deal fell through. Good luck with your continuing hunt. I wish Es were as easy to find down here as they appear to be up there. David, I will send something up to you anyway mate, but do you seriously want some Foster's? It's shocking stuff! Postage ofr a loose woman might be a bit steep and Australia Post frowns on flammable products so the cigars are off (do you insure yours for fire...). I'll think of something! Cheers Andy
  7. For a Tasmanian truck, it looks amazingly solid. It gets pretty wet in Tassie. Almost looks more of a western Queensland beastie! Bloody nice find Werkhorse! Cheers Andy
  8. Although I love the Bs and still rate them as THE classic truck, I've always been drawn to the 1940s for some reason. Love those big fenders! Cheers Andy
  9. Hi David Happy New Year, mate. I did receive the manual thank you just before Christmas. We then were away till after New Year's and I only re-discovered it last night! I looked at it and went, Oh #%&* I haven't thanked David for that yet! Past six weeks has been full on and I'm back full-time at work so everything has stopped which is why I haven't been on here at all! Tim Maikshilo sent me an email as well and I haven't had the chance to reply for a chat yet (sorry Tim!). Sorry, mate. Thank you, I can learn a heck of a lot from what you sent me. The license plate is very cool too, it'll go up with the other metal signs I have around the place. Saw a magnificently original EH when I was in Melboorne in late November. Had a huge Mack brass plaque on the fuel tank. This truck was my first non-Type 75 E! Cheers and thanks again. What can I send you? Andy
  10. Hey Speed and Ol' Dog Thanks for your posts guys, great to hear from you. Been a bit quiet of late as I've been busy with other things but the registry is well into the 30s so it's still making progress! If anyone sees an E at a show or wherever, go and ask the owner if he knows of the registry as there's a very high chance he won't! Cheers and thanks again guys. Andy
  11. Hi Ray Just pm'd you about the Mack E register. Your Type 45 is in amazing condition. Cheers Andy
  12. Die Hard with A Vengeance. It is listed on the website posted above. Cheers Andy
  13. Thanks mate, I'll see if I can get some contact details so I can do the hard work instead of bothering Bazza. Cheers Andy
  14. We've got the new Superliner as well which is a bit "Titanesque". Cheers Andy
  15. Hi guys Just to keep you up to date, the registry is now up to 21 E models listed including four Type 75s. There's many more out there so hopefully I can report 50 listings in the near future. Any leads most appreciated. Cheers Andy
  16. Righto mate, email on it's way. Thanks heaps. Cheers Andy
  17. Indeed, bring on the pics! Great news Rob! You've modernised your fleet slightly. Cheers Andy
  18. It's official, the Mack E Model Registry is under way with a grand total of just seven Es in Australia and the US listed so far (apologies to those who have read this on ATHS). If you own an E or know someone who does please drop me a line by email or private message. Once I have a decent number of trucks listed (say 50), I will make the registry available to whoever is interested. The format will follow that of the B Model register and the E register will be available on the net somewhere in pdf format. Thanks to Lee Haeberlein, Tom Freeman, Bob Gilbreath, David Waits and Mike Harbison for their help getting this off the ground and to Barry for making this a sticky! Cheers Andy
  19. G'day 'fan Best way for a good guess on how much to pay is to see pics. However, if you think you're getting a good deal and really want the B, then we're not going to stop you! Some of the guys on here will be able to give you a good idea but it's up to you in the end. The ATHS magazine "Wheels of Time" advertises "Top of the Hill" Mack parts or whatever. They do wiring harnesses. Also, check out www.oldmacksrus.com for some diagrams that might be useful. Sounds like she's been sitting outside for quite awhile. Good on ya for trying to save her. Good luck. Cheers Andy
  20. Scott Sounds like the original spot to me although ours is on the driver's door. But then, we have right hand drive trucks! Cheers Andy
  21. Good hunting, mate! Looking forward to your next find. Cheers Andy
  22. G'day Al Great to hear from you mate! The registry is under way. If you are looking for parts, I'm probably not the best person to ask being in Australian and all. However, put a post in the Wanted section here and got to www.aths.org and jump on the discussion page and ask there. The guys here and at ATHS should be able to help. Barry, the admin for this site and Watt's Mack dude, might have some leads for you too. When you get a chance, please drop me a line with the chassis number of your truck, your contact details and some pics! The pics aren't really necessary but I'd love to see your EE dump! Must be a very cool truck. Cheers Andy
  23. Thad Great idea! That production list is pretty cool. I'm having trouble saving it but I think it's my computer so I'll try from home. Cheers Andy
  24. Those Magnums are pretty funky to drive alongside. The cab floats around on top of the other half. Must be a smooth ride if not an out of touch one! Cheers Andy
