  1. Welcome mate. Hope you enjoy it here. Has your uncle registered his trucks on the B-Model registry?
  2. Great minds think alike, Carl. I just sent a PM to Rob suggesting I run a piece to try to drum up a group. I can think of a few off hand that should be interested and I might dip in as well for "future supply" for that empty spot in my shed... Haven't forgotten your memory stick either :-)
  3. We're up to four entries pre-Superdog. Two A30Hs, an A40H and an A51E. A good start. Thanks to Werkhorse, Sarcon, Rob and Greg Rider.
  4. Bloody rip-off those Ebay mirrors. Gives the rest of us down here a bad name. LOL.
  5. Congrats on your Mack, mate, looks like she's found a good home.
  6. Awesome, thanks Mike. Hope you, the family and the dogs are well.
  7. Brilliant, thanks Greg. First entry and we're off to a flyer. I thought she might have been an old fire truck. Love your email - who doesn't?!
  8. Hi all As suggested by Joe D., I thought it might be an idea to try to get an A-model registry off the ground as well. The E-model registry is ticking along and one of the many things on my list of jobs to do is contact the ATHS and ATCA to see if they can pass on members' details for those who own such Macks. We'll see how that goes. In the meantime, if you have an A (same cab as E...and probably a few other similarities) or know of some around, please post her chassis number, and any other details you know, here. I would also appreciate your real name, location and email address but you can PM that if you want to keep it private. I know less about As than I do Es (even less of them down here than Es too) so I'm perhaps not the best person to run a registry but since the E registry is set up why not?! As with the E registry, when this eventually gets to 50 entries, I'll make it available to all in pdf format. Barry, could you please pin this thread? Let's see what comes out of the woodwork. Andy
  9. Hi Mark Just read your story. Don't know how I missed it. Way to go with the Bs - two of my favourites: dump truck and an integral sleeper. Hope their return to life is going well. Andy
  10. My thoughts exactly. Can't let a beautiful soul like that be killed for no reason. You'll think of something.
  11. I wish stuff like that turned up down here at that price!
  12. Well done, Doug. I agree with Morgan, it never ceases to amaze me how many LTs have survived. They seem to come out of the woodwork...literally in this case! LOL.
  13. Looks great now so keep her as a dump truck. As a former dumpie driver, I am most envious. She's an awesome beastie. Nothing looks better than a Mack dumper. Thad, how's "your" L going? Is she still in okay condition?
  14. That is an incredible truck, Barry. You're right not to change a thing. That's what we all hope to find one day!
  15. Hope to meet up when you get down here mate. There's some great shows in your neck of the woods.
  16. Awesome 1945 EHU added to the registry by Mackrawl. Check out his Gallery.
  17. Mack. As Mike says, they're becoming scarce. Plus you've got a fair bit of your own history with that truck even if you haven't owned her yet. Too many trucks are getting scrapped these days.
  18. Knobby and Mrs Knobby, from your photos of Dubbo, it looks as though at times we were in the almost the same spot at the same time! Rob, if you make it down to Victoria I might be able to hook you up with a B-model drive. Also, I know a guy with a passion for IH Scouts so can accomodate you there too. Monty, Dubbo was awesome! Great camaraderie throughout the show. I chatted with Ed briefly while whizzing around in Bruce Gunter's red Commer during the parade and he mentioned a couple of things he'd like to do better. There's always room for improvement but it was a truly excellent weekend.
  19. Great variety. Thanks for posting the link, Barry. Some droolworthy gear there.
