  1. Does anyone know if I can change out my END673 to a 237 in a B61 without any mounting or clearance issues. Could someone give me some spec differences on those 2 engines. I also want to place a 5 or 6 speed in the place of the quadraplex. Will my old mounts work? I have 10.00x22 tires so what would be my top speed. Any suggestions on what would work would be greatly appreciated
  2. Hey guys where can I find some wiring info on a B61t. Mine is toast and I dont want to use the transfer switch. I am going to change the starter to 12volt. Thanks
  3. Okay guys, I definately have 10.00 x 22 on this truck. What now? Thanks guys for all the help!
  4. Hey guys I just bought a B61 and I know from the build sheets that it came with 10.00x20 and now it has 22's . What will it need to change them back and what would I need to do to change them to tubeless. It has the Dayton wheels and I was just wondering what I would need to change it back. Thanks
  5. Hey guys, I am starting work on a B61 with the END 673 and the TRD67 2 stick and have found out that the engine is going to have to be built and I also have transmission problems. I am considering changing engine and transmission. Is there an engine and transmission that I could swap will limited problems and what kind of problems would there be. I was told that a 300 with a 9 or 10 speed would bolt up with no problems. Is that true? Thanks in advance for the help.
  6. Hey guys, I really need some assistance here. I have recently purchased a B61T and it has the end673 with a trd67 tranny and 4.25 ratio on rear end according to build sheets and I am thinking about changing the engine and swapping the tranny to an Eaton Fuller. What engine and tranny would fit or would I be better of to rebuild the old engine. I plan on hauling my antique tractors to shows and parades with this old truck. Thanks
  7. I just purchased a b61 and was wondering if it would be wise to rebuild the old thermodyne engine or replace it. I understand a 300 will bolt up since we are looking at replacing the old duplex with a eaton 9 or 10 speed. What do you guys think and how much would I be looking at cost wise to rebuild the old thermodyne. How much trouble is it to swap out the engine and tranny? Any sheet medal modifications needed. Thanks guys!
  8. I have recently acquired a b61t and a b61st and was trying to find some weight guidelines. The B61t is complete with engine and all running gear but the B61st does not have engine nor transmission. I was wondering if I could pull the B61t home on a 14000 lb gooseneck with a Dodge 3/4 ton with a Cummins diesel and a 6 speed transmission. The B61ST will be pulled with a Ford F250 with the powerstroke and a 21000 lb gooseneck. Thanks
  9. Hey check out the group buys forum. Barry has got some awesome looking new hubcabs for 100.00
  10. Does anyone know where a person might find a cab in good shape with not a lot of rust through? I also need the in door hardware for the window. All of it the best I can tell. I also need a wiring diagram. I plan on buying a breaker panel and wire harness from painless industries. Is this a pretty good way to go?
  11. Hey guys, I am looking at buying a 1961 b61 and was wondering what a fair price would be. The truck has been painted but trust me, it will have to be done again. The engine sounds great, it has some extra engine parts for rebuilding in the future, and some small interior window trim but the in cab liners are gone, the wire harness is TOAST for the most part and the tires are round with some air in them but that is about all I can say about them! It has 2 axle seals leaking and probably going to have to do a rear brake job. It also has several rust through spots around the window channels on the left and right door, it has some rust through in the floor pan but they seem to be small and all the window guides and tracks will have to be replaced in both doors. I would not be afraid to drive it home which is about a 4 hour trip except for the tires and no lights of any kind. Just curious! I would also like to know if Mack ever had any of these model or year trucks that offerd Budd wheels instead of the old Dayton. I know alot of places I couldn't get these Daytons changed if I wanted to. Does anyone know what would interchange with these hubs to place Budd wheels on them? Wiring harness: Does anyone know where I could find a wiring harness for this truck or would I be better off to build my own and if so where could I find the diagrams, how hard is it and where can I find the original looking black braided wire to use. Rust through around the window channels. Is this normal in these trucks and what is the best way to handle fixing it? Rust in the floor pan, is there a pan to buy on this truck or does anyone know where I could find some advice on how to fix the floor? Thanks guys B61fan
