  1. do you have the coolant resvoir that is up on the stantion? if so, its good,, you can get one of those low cost funnels for filling radiators and it attaches to the tank like the cap, then you can fill the coolant up into the funnel, and run the engine and watch for bubbles in the coolant that is in the funnel..
  2. vocom II driver - MHH AUTO - Page 1 mhhauto.com Volvo Premium Tech Tool PTT VCADS 2.8.61 [2021 ... autopartscatalogue.net Volvo VOCOM 88890300 PTT2.03 software Free Download ... This is the system I am familiar with, and Premium Tech Tool.. I have used Nexiq, but never really liked it as much and at times I sucked at it... The Vocomm 88890300 has worked very well.. I do not own this system, but if you have a fleet or just want to get the best you can get without having dealership authority, I beleive this is it.. I hope we see more opinions, especially from the guys that are still at dealerships... jojo
  3. thanks for the update, Definately, fix what you know is broke first... jojo
  4. My first advice is to post pics of it so we all see what you have/ find any shop manuals you can find/ (i just bought 3 Midliner book's, from E-Bay recently)/ here's a big one..... find someone who is familiar with Midliners!!/ next, do youre research on parts vendors/ most of what I have done came from France/ they are very good trucks, and in my opinion deserve respect, but it is hard to get a team of players together to keep it in good repair.. Good luck, and keep in touch... jojo
  5. did you remove the radiator? I have only done a few, but they were out of the truck, yes I had to remove a bunch of stuff including the front mounted PTO, but when it was done I didnt have to re-do the workand I was able to check condition and to see if it was straight, and then of course the prep work is the most important step.. I have no magic words, just that... jojo
  6. So true, Mark !!
  7. I dont know, Mark,,,,, something had to 'suck' the air of the old guy in the picture, just sayin...
  8. Obama and Nancy P have been running this country since Biden was appointed....
  9. Bob,, I get it... I have similar concerns.. With crime on the rise, and it seem's like it within a certain population,, there is a real problem... we cant even go to the store without a real concern for who is walking in the parking lot.. Liberal , cop hating policies have empowered the group im talking about, and they dont care because they will be let out of jail in short time and go do it again.. it is only going to get worse... jojo
  10. it is unlike what you know in the older big trucks.. take the truck to someone that WILL plug into it and calibrate the clutch, cycle the shift forks in the tranny, and update the TCM.... that last one is probably Mack only.. You have a lot of knowledge about trucks, but unfortunately , like me and a bunch of others.... we cant do a damn thing if we are not a dealership with a $10,000.00 loaded computer that requires many updates to stay currrent... I run my own service truck and I use metal tools to make my living... I have a lot of knowledge about programming, but no interest at all in investing in it.. good luck sir,,,, jojo
  11. what specifically do you need to see?? it is bacially an 'R' model cab arrangement. jojo
  12. the clutch is operated by an air bag, the range of motion is measured by a sensor for the acuator .. to see it on the PTT screen t almost makes sence.. I have forgotten many of the fine points since ive been away from it for 4 years.. to me the bigger issue is the delete... these ECU's are very smart.. jojo
  13. sounds like a clutch actuator problem, and I bet the truck is 'deleted' and thats why MackVo wont touch it... I am sorry, but you are screwed.. even if you replace the clutch actuator yourself, you still need to have the clutch calibrated, and the TCM will need updates, and a learn data reset.. NO DELETE'S !! sorry sir... Jojo
  14. I saw a picture of a burned out car today... what caught my eye was that all 4 wheels were not on the car, and the car didnt look like it was being repaired prior to what ever burned it up.. I know i sound nuts, but , it just hit me that way.. jojo
  15. I have bad gut feelings... no knowledge,,, just feelings... Our news media jumped on the invasion, if you will,,, and ran with it... the recent showing of the bodies on the streets and all of the destruction, as terrible as it is,,, to me, there is a lot of 'theater' in these stories.. and king biden acts like a big dick... my gut says, dont screw with russia, they have a lot of friends that want to level the USA. I am no war strategist by any means.. I just think that bidens clan is using every excuse and scapegoat they can find to distract us from the cancer that is eating our country from the middle-out... every bit of new info, is miraculously broadcast in the same manner on all the lib news stations... Im sorry if I sound like a dumbass, but i cant help to think this is a show in our country to make our king and his people look good... it has nothing to do with real concern for human life, or the future of our country.. I dont own any stocks, but I may look into buying rosetta stone.... we will be speaking russian, chinese, and iranian, whatever that is,, we already take second place to spanish... jojo
  16. well....... it happened... no sh!t !!..... she got confirmed.. I just hope she will abide by the law of the constitution, and not the progressive agenda.. its too bad that the whole focus on her, was her skin color.. It takes away from any 'real good' qualities she may posses. May GOD save us... from the real racist's that run this country.. Jojo
  17. just for kick's, going on what Paul said,, Pull the eecu fuse #40 or41 in the box under the hood, remove the oil pressure sensor, screw a 2-3" long 1/8" npt pipe into the port, wire tie an old white sock or rag over it, leaving some room in it to catch stuff, and crank the engine until you see oil pressure come up on the gauge, then pull the sock off and look inside to see if there is any chunks or cackaa.... then just put it all back together... jojo
  18. Paul is probably right, do you have any codes, does a buzzer go off before shut down, what does the gauge say when it shuts off? will it do it on the yard? if so can you hook a 'real' gauge to it to see if oil pressure is truly low? the sensor is on top of the oil filter pad above the centri-max filter.. jojo
  19. If you will post the parts of the truck you want a book for, I may have it.. i can post the book number so you can search for it.. when you say 6 wheel drive, do you have Marmon Harrinton front drive axle? jojo
  20. yep, power reset without the key... its like leaving the key on, and unhooking the batteries while everything is powered up.. it will throw 9-2 code.. look at fuse 40 or 41 in the fuse box under the hood.. that is the eecu fuse.. jojo
  21. did you check the fusable link in the battery box? I believe it has one.. it is a short wire that is not very thick, it is a ground, bolted to the frame.. jojo
  22. you mentioned , piston cooling nozzle.... this engine has 6 of them... did you mean something else? the only reason to replace 1 of these would be due to damage, like bending it, for example.. jojo
  23. well,, be careful you dont offend someone by using the word 'gender' I hope we get this truck truck tuned in for you,, jojo
  24. OK,, just dial it back a bit... Dawg.. lets not go to a bad place.. the truck you have is a good truck, the engine you have is a 'Female' it always has an issue!! .. Mechanically they perform very well, but whoever does the 'major' work, really needs to know what he's doing. to me,, there is not any room for just 'wingin' it' .. i am not tryin to be an ass about mechanic's, I myself am nowhere near perfect.. But I also dont do heart surgery,, ya know why??? anyway..... just do some research on the engine you have, and develope some other questions, and post more info.. i am concerned about the blue smoke .. and oil pressure should be around 90 cold and 35+ at operating temp.. jojo
