  1. that crank looks really clean.. You are inspiring me.. Jojo
  2. I really like the thoughts that it was an old fire truck.. It makes me proud.. I made measurements, and drew the plans on note paper, then took my paper to my metals supplier and asked them to cut each piece to my lengths. then I took an extended lunch break and put it together.. Thanks for making me chuckle... Jojo
  3. I made the front bumper, because in my area, there is a certain culture of people that runs red lights on purpose, and sometimes veer into my path. If I see someone who is about to run the red light, I let the clutch out and jump forward a bit, and they usually slam on brakes.. it makes me laugh.. I used to have a 'Rebel Flag' tag on the front, but too many guys would yell at me or give me the finger, when they cross the street while I'm at a red light.. p.s. never was a fire truck.. and the rust stain is from a winch.. I used to use it to pull axles out from under Mack's when I ran a 28 truck fleet.. jojo
  4. I always check ground wires condition. All the gray wires. And check battery connections and the fused link at the batteries..
  5. Thanks Bob, I currently have 3 square bodies. That one is made out of parts from several trucks. He ain't pretty, but it will go to work if I need it to. It's crazy how many people walk up to me in parking lots and ask me to sell that ugly duckling to them..
  6. Well it's good you got your pick/up, up and running... You saw my post about Yota.. anyway. It is amazing how much is connected to exhaust flow.. it's rediculus. I hope it gives good service for years to come.. my wife's 5.3 only has 60 PSI fuel pressure.. how is yours so high? Hers is a 2004.
  7. Paul, Here's my Ute with a Tray.. I made this one out of 3 trucks, 12 years ago.. I still drive it most days.. Yes I made the bed..sorry... Tray ... and the bumper.. took out the auto tranny and put pedals and a Granny Gear 4 spd in it.. I love my Ute.. jojo
  8. Amen Paull...Exactly !!!
  9. 🍻
  10. what tranny and rear end ratio is the CH?
  11. Here's a little Shop Talk.. My awesome Toyota truck has been in need of repair this year.. I fixed the rusted frame, and drove it daily, then was going to get it inspected, and.... You guessed it... The MIL light came on.. P0420.. Cat. code. So after a few easy attempts. No luck.. So I pulled the exhaust manifold, back to the muffler to re seal the small leaks I found.. Well anyway.. The Manifold was shattered, but, still together. I found a Manifold kit with a gasket and sealing rings and studs, on Parts Geek.com... (China Parts) for $85.00 delivered.. Hopefully all this plus new O2 gaskets will keep the light off.. Gotta take care of my Little Mack Truck... Jojo
  12. Awesome.... "J". Jojo
  13. Not sure about Keyser switch. I don't do truck repair like I used too.. sometimes if I don't see it here and there, I forget it.. I'm too young to be senile. Oh well.. I can't spell either..
  14. I'm glad you laughed Mech... The switch looks like a brake light switch, but not as new looking as the ones I have replaced in recent years.. I guess he can unplugg a wire to see if the brake lights go out..
  15. All I know is on R models, (can't tell you how far back it goes) the brake light switch is on the firewall, and hot all the time with no insulation. Yes, I have hit it when removing the rear valve cover.. with all the different switches now-a-days,,. There are options.. the single pole grounding type switch is a great idea for the low air buzzer.. as far as it being a new style switch..... What year is the first year of NEW stuff? I know sometimes I forget how far back some things go, and then I comment...
  16. You don't have to go to Texas, to get Texas Pete,. Paul... You need to go to Winston-Salem N.C. That's were it's from.. let me know when you get here, I will drive up and visit you . Jojo
  17. That's the brake light switch. They are hot all the time.. can you find an air supply that is before the tractor protection valve to install the low air buzzer. ?
  18. Throttle position sensor... Do you have a test pedal to try before spending the $400 ish dollars?
  19. Hopefully, OldMan, your next post will be the one that says its fixed.. 👍 jojo
  20. I love it guy's.. I will be looking for this news story.. Which of course will prove the selfishness of the Biden Klan.. Hooray for Me!! and F--k U.S.A. That's the Biden Way....
