  1. it doesnt look all that bad.. pressure test the CAC.. Cracks appear at the top right corner and run down the weld where the viens meet the side tanks.. usually on the front side.....
  2. the camshaft number is the real deal when figuring engine brake lash..
  3. here are some pics from my E-7 book..
  4. I think a valve adjustment is in order. Stay with the procedure that Mack lays out in the book. We can guide you.. also, many guys dont look at the valve yokes on the 4-valve engines... they HAVE to be set.. You Can, Remove the jake heads,( this will allow you to inspect the top end). Or you can leave them installed.. and get (2) .010'' feeler gauges.. put one under each end of the bridge and press down on the bridge, and feel the drag on each feeler gauge, adjust the screw until they are evenly dragging.. no need to rotate the engine for this step.. then put the jake heads back on and run the valves by the book..
  5. Keep It !!
  6. oh Hell,, I get it, I have 3 Harleys,, My sportster is fun, My Custom Duece is beautiful, and My Wifes Tri-Glide Ultra Classic Is a 3 wheeled Cadillac....

  9. Where the Heck can You buy Hamm's Beer???? I have had this sign for 10+ years.. Never had the Beer though.......
  10. That throttle switch is adjustable, if you need to set the ''sensitivitey''.
  11. Supermutt.. those engine brakes are ''People Controlled'' not ''Computer Controlled'' if it is running and the switch is on the engine brake will be on and the engine will stumble, unless you do 1 of 3 things,,, lightly rest your foot on the clutch pedal,,, lightly hold the throttle down, -or- just shut the dash switch 'Off'... Im having some fun here.. dont know if you know that about this set-up? Glad you are here.. Jojo
  12. Dirty contact inside can cause resistance, and the one at the injection pump is always subjected to dirt, oil, and heat.. just something simple and 🆓 to inspect.. I have found bad throttle switches on dump trucks, that were affected. Can you post a picture of the throttle switch?
  13. There is a spring loaded switch at the clutch pedal arm, and a micro switch on the throttle linkage at the injection pump..
  14. What year engine?? And did you put a volt meter on the Jake wires at the solenoids to see the voltage?
  15. 👍 🍻
  16. Is it a CH? I thought those came out in 89/90..?? I'm getting rusty.. We All love pictures,,...
  17. Also, there is a fuel shot off lever on the injection pump. Get some one to start it up and then you test it to see if it shuts the fuel off. I'm sure it works, just get familiar with it. It is no where near as dangerous as getting your fingers close to the turbo inlet...
  18. Is the throttle linkage frozen, or is the return spring missing.. many pumps default to 'wide open' when the return spring is gone.
  19. Is the clutch switch damaged or possibly flipped to the front of the clutch pedal arm, also, is the switch at the in section pump dirty? Maybe spray some elec cleaner on it it to remove the grime..
  20. I posted fuse box diagrams on June 21. The topic was 2016 pinnacle wipers don't work. Its for a CXU, but may be the same, I can't remember.
  21. Brocky,,, You just made another one of my point's... Tom........ Dont sell the damn F-150!! And this is coming from a Bowtie Guy...
  22. YRC, here in Charlotte, shut down.. There are over 1000 drivers out of work..
  23. E-Tech has one oil sensor on top of the centrimax , and can have an oil line too, for the gauge.. later engines have 2 ports on the oil filter stands right side. Oil pressure and temp. Sometimes only pressure sensor is installed.. if memory serves me correctly
  24. See if you can search "Lovejoy couplers" by size and slot count..
