  1. ever think of posting this DM rebuild on U tube as an editorial for us folks to learn ?? don't know how that works but your subscribers might help with the $$ to repair that DM. from fiberglass to steering box over haul this has been for me very interesting.
  2. before they are allowed to live in your house ; you MUST support a bill to let them out of prison!! forget the key to your house;;; leave the door unlocked . also I don't want to give the politicians a key to my house:: some of the biggest criminals . just say in
  3. no their NOT. another way of wasting millions of $$$ on paper. no one questioned how the jan 6 "invaders 'got into the white house; where was secret service ????????? why didn't the price of chicken triple after the virus killed millions of chickens; just the price of eggs tripled (right before Easter) . sadly the American public believe what the controlled news reports
  4. this site ISN'T about enjoying stress. just the opposite from an ole mans point of view. [point of this forum is to change direction and look at a "comical" state of country affairs, definitely NOT a one sided soap opera. like Lady Liberty ; eyes closed and listened. can't find much to laugh at anymore. skipped work today and walked around walmart/ home depot ;;; never realized the tension/stress!! no one smiles/says hello any more.
  5. want a good laugh OR a scary thought ;; look at the pictures posted on B model auction ; see how the pintle was "attached" to the B model. cut rear cross member middle out ; welded in a pintle hook. !! now that's frightening
  6. if only he did go
  7. objects of the tarriff is a positive ; sadly system is tooo far gone . also the people filling their pockets $$$$ will make the tariff idea look bad.if only there was a way to back step time. based on told experience , my Grandparents being IMMAGRIMANTS who came to this country in 1905 worked their ass off to buy a farm in CT . when 1929-30 depression struck they didn't know. THEY WERE HARD WORKING POLISH FARMERS. you want to live ==either you raised it or grew it to survive, and they did. greed has ruined what should be a great country. NOT a ruler but a great country. sorry kids. it wasn't this why back then☹️
  8. If trump and others make their millions from oversea investments; are they paying the tariffs working class are paying on oversea "products"??
  9. this link definitely has more plus better pictures. to be sure guess a person has to be there /inspect for themselves. lot 13 states B42- hood on green Mack clearly states B-61. 673 with jacobs engine brake. rear brakes changed to spring maxi.
  10. thank you for the link page; one day I hope to learn this computer stuff :maybe LOL . don't know the accuracy of the listings. B-65 listed as '60's; according to book of facts ; the B65 manufactured 1955-1958 with only 1623 being made. not sure what distinguishes a 65 . rule of thumb all odd numbers -diesel. difference between 61 /63/ or 65 ??? B67 was the contoured cab ; trailers were getting longer .
  11. another pass it on auction ;not mine. auctionzip shows an auction in PA,, 8/20/25 . auctioneer Bill Anderson auctioneers, listing include: lot #1-'61 Mack B-61 dump // lot#8- Mack B65 dump with 5&2 transmission //lot#13 Mack B42 (B42x6851) // lot's #s 25= = 30 Mack parts. location address 701 county Line Rd ;Acme,PA thought this could be of interest to some one??
  12. also the R has to be built much stronger to carry a pintle hitch/ trailer.
  13. project looking real good. nice job. the R688 might be a tad more of a challenge since the frame was hacked so bad /short of material close to air bags and suspension :BUT following Your pictures the R688 can be done.
  14. Budd wheels/lighter rears ? possibly a tractor changed over to dump. the style of the dump fits the 75 nice.
  15. now that's got to be a first ;; hole in cab shield for straight up exhaust pipe ; not the curve pipe around the shield. little fluff and buff =one fine looking Mack.
  16. cheaper and faster going down production line.
  17. NO reason for "sorry" ; without asking knowledge is never learned. in time the statement "have very little experience "will be old news!!! speaking for the BMT crew ; up dates are always appreciated. to be 40 or so yrs younger and bit closer this would be a fun/ challenging easy project to tackle.
  18. all depends on the situation and experience OR $$$$ behind the project. not knowing complete details or history of the truck . ponder the seller did a half/ ass job cutting the rear off to keep a pintle hook frame set up ??? with ALL PROPER safety equipment used .good cut-off saw to straighten the taper on frame rails , mate a matching rear section ;; weld in and plate . will be done strong enough to hold a pintle. using a truck cut off section with crossmembers will be square/ straight/ strong >with help of a miracle , locate a rear double frame section and stagger the rails allowing the inner rail to over lap existing truck frame inside. bolts /weld better than new. too many possibilities not knowing the project.
  19. I totally agree with you; rear chassis welding is very important , my statement referred to it not being as sophisticated as a mid chassis weld. welding a piece of channel for a taillight is important . once again BMT is being given bare minimum of details on a question involving many particulars. not knowing experience/shop set up/ availability of parts. etc. reason for reply to a straight square cut=off might be an option. plate the section properly COULD be same as frame it self.
  20. purpose of the total disassembly is to give ALL the BMT crew a class on what's inside ; always good to learn something. LOL
  21. technically that is an easier repair. depends on your future use and access to parts and supplies, good with a welder ?? since it's not in a very critical location such as midframe/ behind cab etc; number of ways. purchase channel steel same size as rails or a scrap yard near by have HD truck parts / ; find a rear section frame set up and splice it into yours. will have two rails/ one or two crossmembers -easy breezy place for lights/flaps too late to ask why it was done , just forge onward and make it classy.not good with a welder ; what better job to learn on. remember to use old mud flaps to cover the air bags ; welder sparks can ruin an air bag !!(so I.ve been told )
  22. no luck on sources of information regards to Adley slogan , went on line started looking at images of fleets years gone by. It was my down fall. normal people might look at pictures of their vacations/ trips etc. for me reading all the names of the fleets did it. saw some even forgot about and then recalled working on . ebay has a picture of the Adley first gear B model ;; no bumper slogan which doesn't mean the real ones didn't have it. will keep searching.
  23. how soon/ desperate is this brake job needed? having budds = unimount studs/ nuts ;;or inner/outer fasteners ? out board drums deeper?longer studs ? I don't know for sure . can't correctly answer whether hubs are same using different studs.
  24. thank you for reply and update. some times it's a challenge for the BMT crew to reply not knowing all the tiny details and conditions. having budds already makes the conversion a tad easier i'm thinking.
  25. am I really that old to think back to when this H67T was a good useable used truck in line at Waterbury Mack trucks!!! 673/duplex twin stick !!!
