  1. count me in LOL ;; just DON'T call it the "golden years" . I've got 5 yrs seniority.
  2. not only the cab work is looking great ; the shop with it's clean, organized appearance is beyond WOW. everyone has "their thing" ,for me it maintenance shops or old barns, i know too many yrs of breathing brake clean LOL and the C cab is unique in it's own respect
  3. sad part is in the 3-4 yrs you wait , they will change the yr of eligibility. it keeps going up . people (wife included) have same ideas; wait little bit longer and get more.i did some math and figured how much i'm giving up over those yrs of waiting. it's a toss up and everyone's situation is different. after 35+yrs in union, had a meeting with pension personal. i was told " due to the fact i'm in a union job that doesn't have a union pension, union will be taking $200.oo a MONTH from my retirement fund." i paid in for over 35 yrs in to pension.
  4. another one of the many unrecognized Heros of war;; the Codebreakers .so many lives saved through Their unique system.of 400 codebreakers only a hand full still alive . a story worth reading or watch the TV version. the codebreakers had "escorts" at all times . escorts had orders to eliminate the codebreaker if being captured by enemy.
  5. NOW that's asking a lot; this generation watch educational TV. a TV is for connecting the remote control to for video games sadly. but then from what i see they don't need the TV either. everyone seems to wear goggle type head sets . that's why there is a 75yr wait to learn the truth about things such as the JFK assassination . no one today cares about the Lincoln assassination and few care about the truth of nov.22,'63 . WWII is very sadly falling by the wayside. stop and salute EVERY Veteran and watch them smile and thank you. times are tough today $$$$ wise, buy a Veteran a lunch or coffee.
  6. come on JoJo !!!!!!! a TNT mag 😁 LOL everyone knows TNT . hope all is well
  7. lexington and Yorktown ;; so many lives lost. sadly little know . the Japanese used cargo ships to move American P O W's . 1500 Americans were in the bottom of the cargo ships when they were sunk in an attempt to what was thought to be food supplies going to support the Japanese.
  8. under different situations on my end; i'd gladly drive there and be a free assistant . just for the fun of building again. at this point i'm very Leary of driving lately.
  9. not a matter of them paying a higher rate , customers will be paying a little bit more but getting alot more from jojo then paying a dealership and getting a less knowledgeable personal at a higher rate..
  10. for yrs people asked why i didn't go in business for myself . nope; steady check and benefits were number one. $$$ from side work helped . i was only "stiffed" by one customer. going customer rate at the dealer then was $10.00 an hr . i was side work $ 5.00 per hr. cat now is 180.oo-200.oo per! boy have times changed.. best of luck jojo and others.
  11. I missed the part of front wheels; sorry. i'm thinking rear with stud holes. fronts are easier. shouldn't be quite as difficult to find or adapt a set.
  12. any pictures or tire/wheel sizes. i HAD 50-60 two wheel garden tractors up till auction 2011 . i know one of the tractor buyers; don't know if he still has them or parts . tractors from the '20's- newest was a 1949
  13. hopefully "Mr Brockway" on this forum will join in with his knowledge. picture looks like truck still running the older style cab, not the mack cab. don't remember the change-over yr.
  14. make one heck of a RV with camper body on back . ugly duck for sure; till you stare at it for a while. ugly becomes different for sure.
  15. nice looking brockway. the brockway had the same class act appearance as the Mack B-75 series.
  16. THANK YOU for your service Sir
  17. picture perfect; the tattoos just ruined the picture ( my thoughts only) one - two maybe ,now if she can drive it also ;;i'm sold.
  18. wait till she turns around then . OH polish i'm thinking Polish LOL , wife checked it out ; doesn't see connection between pictures and mack trucks. i reassured her :: the phrase "built like a Mack truck " .. really stacked and fine chassis
  19. do what ever time; interest and $$$$ allow. either way in a round about way you will be saving history or rat rod will spark an interest in some one else seeing it to find more history to save.
  20. my Father went and signed up; my grandfather had him pulled out =he was needed on the farm . three uncles were already enlisted. two of which were badly scared by sharpnel ; one received purple Heart =survived as a P O W . don't think there would be too many older generation that would deal with this mess. tragic for them was the beatles and long hair.
  21. same story here. the land my uncle owned in center of small farm town that as kids we walked and camped on was sold to developer who now has major mall with stores and still developing, SO SAD
  22. after all the parades; hot dogs and hamburgers ; a moment taken for remembrance of those who gave us the opportunity for celebration. NOT from todays cluster f--k world . days gone by. not dismissing ALL veterans ; memorial day for glancing at the 300K + white crosses at Arlington and else where. THANK YOU to ALL . remember the doughboys back then are the ones who coined the phrase that ac mack looks like a bulldog . who knows what would have been on the hood today.
  23. broken clamp, cracked hose air system. higher gears possibly due to engine under load. idle- pressures aren't high enough.
  24. they must be the new technology style emergency boat floatation devices ☺️
