Pretty sure that Was a joint venture between Cummins & CNH called consolidated Diesel Company (CDC) But happy to be corrected.

No different than their "PX" range of Engines.. They're just Cummins Engines painted Silver.

They've just put the Volvo FM 11 Drivetrain in to a UD Cab chassis (Glider kit).. i saw one the other day,& it still had Volvo stickers/badges over the Engine & Ishift Box..

It's Mainly driven by the Fridge van operators. So they can get thicker walls for better insulation.. As our pallets are 1150mm (46") Square as apposed to the ISO size used everywhere else.. Also as Paul said , so Big Fleets can import cheaper Fridge & Dry vans or at least hold a big stick over the local trailer builders..
