  1. In reading this thread it seems that SIGNAL ultimately failed Mack. SIGNAL took all of Macks profits for the benefit of SIGNAL and not Mack -MACK SHOULD NOT HAVE SOLD OUT TO SIGNAL!__ Signal/Renault/Volvo. Also it seems that Kenworth benefited greatly from the Hayes aquisition which Mack was never able to bring to fruition.
  2. The cab looks good and good oil pressure! Seats are replaceable.
  3. Very beastly Mack! Could haul more coal for years to come.
  4. This is what happens when American manufacturers sell out to the Europans.!
  5. Brocky: Found on this site a KS answer to a Super Dog post from 2013 "The new Interstater cab" The post that stated that F's, Cruiseliner's (non hayward version) and MH's were built in house in Allentown/Macungie. Original Cruiseliners were Hayward built. G's were fabricated by Budd I believe. Early MB's were Orville, not sure about the MR's as the as there is no more Orville. B's and H's were Allentown with Orville for sleeper versions. IH Comfo visions were designed by IH and built by Chicago Cab. Truck builders close to Chicago also used the IH cab-Hendrickson, Diamond-T, FWD, Available and others.
  6. Brocky-As you know at one time Mack had the Budd Cab N-model. At about the same time Mack was making in house (I believe) F Models. Like you say they are similar in windshield size and curvature. It seems to me that these similarities were not by accident. I wonder if anyone has more information on the development of the F Model Mack.😗?
  7. Also you can see the C model Ford in the F model Mack.
  8. KW W900B Dump - Shortcut.lnk Tried to upload a copy of a KW W900B. This is probably my favorite non Mack truck. Very rugged looking!KW W900B Dump - Shortcut.lnk
  9. LT Mack brother!
  10. Swishy that White 7000 was the one I saw on you tube. Nice looking White.
  11. Couple of dollars and it will be good as new!
  12. Mechohaulic-Closing in on 77 God willing. I saw somewhere on youtube that a guy had an electric elevator step to get into his cab over.
  13. Too bad the MH's didn't have time to reach their full potential. They would probably be in there third generation by now with options up the wazoo!
  14. Come on back vinny, you're still appreciated here. So are you KS.🙂
  15. Vinny discovered girls and he's never been the same.🙂
  16. More gears is always better. Like the old B models, not much on power but the gears made up for it. Maxidynes could lug but why not give them a break in retirement. Mack kind of missed the boat (IMO) with the long step between 4th and 5th on the 237's
  17. Thats a ready made Mack mechanical fleet right there. Not necessarily a drivers comfort truck but money makers for sure!
  18. I guess he doesn't like me😪. I can live with that😊
  19. Louis-chill out-Canadian Mack did put out some beauties over the years-Parts and Warranty are a different issue. You can probably blame the Mack controllers for a great part of that-Signal, Renault, and now Volvo.
  20. Were all DC 405's built in California? I would think some came from Illinois. I saw on facebook that some of them were aluminum cabs.
  21. 1/2 a tilt cab🙂 I've seen this model before and did, but did't realize this was an R model. Buubble nose R.
  22. Was this IH's first attempt at a tilt cab over? If so sure was popular for a first attempt.
  23. Who was at the helm during Mack's demise? Signal acquisition was the start. Paccar came through the tough times, why didn't Mack? Spread too thin like White and IH?
