Kind of reminds me of the Mack B/Studebaker/Reo and IH KB's. White coup cab and the Mack A model and EH front windshields. Look up Orville body works where there is an extensive write up on their various truck cab productions. Orville made the B, H and G model cabs and may bee the L models as well. Sheller Globe made the R model cabs. The F's were made in house but there seems to be a lot of influence (similarities) to the Budd cab used by Ford and Mack. Incedently I believe the Budd Cab stamping plant was near by in Philadelphia. The IH comfort cab was made by Chicago Cab I believe. Peterbilt and KW were stamped steel and aluminum riveted and welded together in house it appears. Freightliners were fabricated aluminum made by Consolidated Freightways. I believe Boeing had an influence on KW stamping and riveting fabrication. This is the way I remember it though I may be wrong on just about everything.🙃

Anyone remember BMT member mack3P. He was an engineer at Mack who used to give us inside Mack info from the factory on the sly. Or Dave Mckenna a Mack engineer who used to comment on the Mack website. Or KS. I wonder if he will be back. Probably all retired by now.🙂

Does the B-53 have a beefier frame than the B-61. Not counting double or triple frames.

Since trucking news seems to be silent as of late, where is a good place to get trucking news to pass on.

Will a 6-71 or a 6-110 fit in a B? 6-110 is only 660 cu.in which is less than a 673. Side supercharger may be an issue.

Move nice, sound nice, and easy to repair. Don't think parts will be an issue in our lifetimes.

Good job mike. I saw B-63's when I was a kid they were tractors for Meyer cement (Illinois) pulling dump trailers. in 1959-1960 time frame. I am pretty sure they had the turbo 673. I think the last B model ever made was a B53 cement truck with the B-53 unique grill.

The B-53 was a popular mixer truck gas or diesel powered I believe. B-61's were Mack diesel powered highway and construction trucks. I think the B-63's had the turbo charged 673 engines 205 HP

I believe the 1989 RD hood was like the R hood

I believe right before the Volvo by out Mack had an agreement with Oskosh to use Oskosh mixers with the Mack name and Mack engine. To bad they can't use the MR platform to make a forward discharge mixer. Get a clue🙂 Vo%$#.

Saw on facebook where UPS has some new Mack Anthems. They look nice. Not sure how big the order was.

First I have heard of a Mack two speed transmission. Is this a Volvo product or vendor. These must be stout transmissions and rear ends to handle all of that torque. Drive lines also.

Saw on Facebook today a picture of 2 Mack Anthems for UPS. Looked pretty sharp. Better than the yugly Kw's and blah Freightliners. They said they were at a terminal in the southeast. Not sure how big the order is. Good news for Macungie!🌝
