  1. The exaggerated Covid numbers are beginning to make more sense now that we are talking about suing China. China's going to wish they didn't try the cover-up maneuver. America has lawyers hanging out every window. The only one our lawyers haven't sued is God, over our disapproval with hurricanes, but some unknown group may be working on it.
  2. And they back their product. I’ve seen them sell a used, abused, CH Mack for $17,000 and then later give the buyer a used replacement engine because original was sacked out.
  3. Dave has officially taken you under his wing and put you in his will. I think the thing’s fascinating. You scratch your head on some of Mack’s stuff and have a hard time picturing the dynamics. A perfect example is the peanut wedges rolling between the eccentric cams of a power divider. Alien concept. Offset is normal. When rotating it makes a resistant twist-in engagement. It’s part of the action that loads the clutches against the plates to cause friction meshing.
  4. I was beating on the doors for FSA info and had 2 emails pop into my box from the Corp and Provider..... 1. The company HR said they will be keeping any unused (AKA-unusable) portion of our medical flex spending accounts unless the government mandates them not to. 2. The Governement won't be letting you keep your flex money, however you can now buy a thousand dollars worth of aspirin and maxi pads if you want. CARES Act The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) was recently signed into law. The Act brings an exciting change as it allows over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and medicines without a prescription (Rx) along with menstrual care products purchased on or after January 1, 2020 to be eligible for health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), and health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) reimbursement.¹ Have an HSA? The deadline to file your 2019 taxes and contribute to your 2019 HSA is now July 15, 2020. Please note the maximum annual contributions for 2019 are $3,500 for individuals and $7,000 for families. Starting at age 55, an additional $1,000 is allowed annually. We hope you find this information helpful as you seek to maximize your health account benefits. As always, we are available any time if you need us.
  5. If you go ahead and deep fry......….. from the look of that fella you could make some battered Rocky Mt Oysters for the neighbor who's been parking on your lawn. Mystery meat with a side ranch dip.
  6. Dave, if fishing bad, and they can't get their hands on some fish heads, the Chinese really enjoy this stuff......You sneak up while they're day-sleeping and bushwack'em in the head with a small hammer, easy supper. If the little fella has a cough and runny nose boil him an extra 10 minutes. History of Fruit Bat Soup To understand the history of fruit bat soup, it’s important to first touch on the tropical island Palau, where the dish originates from. Historically, Palau’s protein came almost exclusively from fish. Over time, it became a country with some exquisite seafood. This became a little too tedious and limiting, however, as there were few meat options apart from fish. Therefore, many people in the region took to eating bats as an alternate source of protein. The small fruit bats, that the dish consists of, reside in forested areas at the top of trees. While most kinds of bats eat insects, fruit bats consume wild fruits, flowers and nectar as their main diet, and hence help with the distribution of seeds during the process. Fruit bat soup has historically been the staple of the locals’ diet in Palau. However, it is now seen as more of a delicacy. Fruit bat soup also has a history with Micronesia, Guam and Africa. In fact, in Guam, fruit bat soup is an ancient delicacy that’s unfortunately not widely available anymore because the flying fox bat species were made extinct through extensive hunting. How Exactly Does Fruit Bat Soup Taste? The aesthetic of this dish might not be the most appealing – but is the taste worth it? Well, there are polarized opinions on that! While some people find the blend of flavors to be out-of-the-world delicious, others are just underwhelmed! If we were to draw equivalents, the flavor of Fruit bat soup is (somewhat) similar to chicken soup. Since the bats are clean animals that live solely on fruits, young leaves and nectar – their meat tastes wickedly sweet. And it makes for an interesting dish! Preparation The broth of fruit bat soup is made by washing a bat and throwing it in boiling water, fur included! After it’s been cooked for a while, the bat is taken out of the water and cooked with ginger and coconut milk. Other spices as well as vegetables can be added as an addition to the core recipe. Many people prefer to skin the bat and remove the fur to get to the meat. However, the real way is to chew the bat, suck out the meat and then discard the remaining fur. Print Fruit Bat Soup Recipe Ingredients 1 Large fruit bat 2 Medium donni sali (hot peppers) 1 Chopped white onion 5 tbsp Light soy sauce 2 tsp Lemon juice 1 pinch Salt 2 cans Coconut milk unsweetened Instructions For the hot sauce In a sauce bowl, mix 2 tsp lemon juice and 5 tbsp. soy sauce with chopped onion. Then, add chopped Donni Sali (hot pepper) to your tastes. For the bat soup In a large pot, boil the whole fruit bat in water for around 120 minutes, until the skin of the fruit bat is tender enough to tear through. Remove water. Add coconut milk to the fruit bat with a pinch of salt to taste. Cook for a further 10 minutes. Serve with hot sauce (covered above) and cooked rice. Voilà! Your fruit bat soup is ready to serve.
  7. Corona-copia has presented some opportunity..... ~Never thought I’d ever again buy gas for $0.95 per gallon, but I did and it felt incredible. ~I don’t appreciate baseball unless I’m in the stadium with a 🍺 and 🌭. It clogs the airwaves and replaces talk radio. Been nice hearing something other than Bob Uecker when I’m out working in the garage. ~Little more family time since the kids don’t do sport activities. ~People I know are crazy seem to be on defense rather than offense. Just cough and they retreat. ~free state park passes ~There will be a good window to invest if you can hit it. ~Have till July to do taxes ~everyone will have bowl cuts and mullets by the end of May, so that’ll be a “point and laugh” till the salons open again. ~we won’t have tourists up North, so you could kayak the lake without being killed by a 200HP jet ski. ~when family members call for free repairs you can say “sorry, I think it’s safer for both of us if you take it in, I’m hedging in the family till this blows over”. Used that once last week. There’s more but I’m killing the point....
  8. New York State Pop = 19.5 million North Dakota = 762,062 Burgum doesn't have to do anything, you guys pay a heavy toll each January-Februay to keep the riff raff out, reap your reward.
  9. EZ, your still living in the land of the free! Our Girl Pioneers group was scheduled to host the International Pine Car Derby in Wisconsin this year. Cancelled for Covid due to King Evers the IV's royal decree. The leadership is moving it to South Dakota. Love it, even if it is a ridiculous drive. Spend our vacation days and $$$ out there.
  10. Happy Birthday Keith! You delivering van loads of toilet paper to the citizens of the Minnesota or taking the day off?

  11. How can Moxie be removed as non-essential? It's the "sirloin beef" of soft drink world? Glad for your sake you stocked up. Thanks for asking, Mom must have reached her boredom tolerance level. The only way I can find her is on the mobile number. She's back out having fun in her golden years despite the chatter and advice of the chicken littles.
  12. Synchro is the Achilles’ heel of that trans. The guy who trained me use to say they were also overly massive...to a fault. He believed the size of it gave it too much fly weight. Even a subtle driveline vibration ends badly since it’s weighty and resists counter-movement. A Fuller synchro is microscopic in comparison. Mack stole a little from Fuller on the T300’s, they should have stole the synchro.
  13. I wrote a letter to the branch manager of the Corp. So far there’s been no talk about waiving the FSA for this year. Many have their flex spend accounts stacked with cash for elective surgeries, dental, etc and no way to spend them. I have medical for 7 on mine. The companies can let you default and keep that money as a “use it or lose it”. Great deal for the employer. Another big Covid PITA for us.
  14. Yeah, don’t know why they put you on a balancing act to hit a tooth edge. What was cause of failure? These things can cost as much as a reman or as little as $200 if you shattered a snap ring. They use to use cheap rings then switched to fatties, now instead of popping off they blow up. Fishing parts of that ring out of the front box and PTO belly was key.
  15. Yup, that was the worst one liner I heard yet out of Coronafarcus USA...... ”Studies have shown the highest risk factor for dying from Corona related complications is obesity”. So many Americans with obesity have died the talking heads have decided obesity is the new contingent threat. News flash boys..... If any American drops dead chances are good they’re obese. Sections of our country have a 40% obesity rate.
  16. 2-9 would assume is the pyro stinger. Is it a CV713? CEGR, cooled egr, wouldn’t apply in that case, it would be an IEGR, internal egr.
  17. Why aren’t large swaths of non-essential media being shuttered? Many still require people to work in close contact and serve no great purpose. Emergency broadcast alert is available on any cellphone, so throw that one out.
  18. Were you listening to the great one last night? A transit driver from New York was on with Mark Levin via call-in. He said they’ve lost about 70 bus/transit drivers in NY to Covid. They have reason to be wary. It’s sounds like the initial Covid culturing dish of New York was public transport. The city dropped the number of pick-ups thinking it would reduce use. All it did was cause face-to-face, close contact, packed subways and buses. Backfire. At one point a driver reported people using emergency exits to squeeze into and out of the voids. This guy said he was allowed one mask per week to use. From stories of infection tracking immersion and repeat exposure to people with high viral load saturates your system and seals your deal ⚰️.
  19. Use the 1/4” screws in each corner and plant them against a tooth edge. You can do it without loading them, but.......if you load them you stay straight, if you don’t you’ll be floppy’n sloppy.
  20. In this case it’s a steam explosion. We have the same process in the fiber digester system. It uses 250lb steam to break down the fiber like a giant pressure cooker. In 2009 we had a silo explosion that killed three and injured one welder. That was legitimate methane. The bugs used in our water treatment got loose and infected an upstream pulp silo. They started eating fresh stock and releasing methane. Nobody knew it could happen, they thought it was internally sanitary. Blew the top open on which the workers were standing. Thank the Lord no one got hit, that’s a lot of energy & steam. Must have shook’em like a rag doll.
  21. After doing a little homework it’s clear Cuomo couldn’t manage a KFC without going 6% over budget. Appears He’s fishing for a bailout and “unrestricted” money so Covid can become his Medicare over budget fixer-uper.
  22. Get a 300. You don’t need reprogramming, use your original ECM, 🧠 brain transplant. Can your diesel shop install cal codes? The 300 are all over the place here too. It’s because of the fore mentioned cooling system. Swap your manifolds and housings.
  23. Since you have all the functional external/internal components......., EECM, injectors, turbos and manifolds you can buy any AI engine you have available and put your stuff in/on it. Some AI engines will take a bit more work on the swap, mostly just the 300 HP. It has a smaller, more traditional, cooling package than the larger HP engines, but all work. If I were buying a used one I’d try to get one in a HP range which matches the same turbo and injectors as the 350. You get more for your money if you can “spare out” your extras parts for later use. EUP’s are automatically a shelf-ready part. Your deceased ‘07 will likely have all updates, so if you have an ‘03 used engine default to using ‘07 accessories.
