  1. Wouldn't a 700 series have a Detroit or Cummins in it ? whatever it is . it does seem to have a transmission in it.
  2. 2 reasons ?? You're a Patriots fan....and you must like blue
  3. Maybe it's carpal tunnel ?
  4. That air cleaner in '73 ? Can't see anything bigger than a 237 in there. I don't think any were made with any transmission that would use that range valve 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. Waste Management uses capped 315s on drives. I've seen lots of roll offs and packers from The City like that too.
  6. 315s on drives aren't unheard of in the waste industry.
  7. There's a shifter in it with a range valve . Little odd in a truck that vintage with that air cleaner
  8. You need a divisable load permit. Without that you'll be whatever you can bridge. 53000 ? you probably have a truck with a setback axle and 17 and a half foot body. Most of those are around a 232 or 237
  9. You need a 268" wheelbase to get a decent permit on a tri-axle
  10. "looks nice" ???? it looks like someone who has no welder or access to one (lol) let alone it's a different size rail . I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind would put an inspection sticker on that.
  11. I get the add is from a broker and all.....but somewhere, there's someone who did that to that truck. and the someone actually thinks there's nothing wrong with it . Let alone somebody probably paid for that .
  12. The rest of that truck doesn't look too bad. Why would someone do something like that.... and be proud enough to display several pictures of it ?
  13. That frame is altered ??🤔 how can you tell ? 😳
  14. Business as usual . The people who are actually responsible for allowing this will never be touched....and not the employer . I'm think'n more like mayor pete
  15. 4.64s and an 18 is a pretty decent combination. 6.17s it'd too out about 60 mph
  16. That old dog will be right over there where they discovered the omicron variant ..... and run for years (lol)
  17. 6.17s with an 18 😳 ?
  18. Just an FYI....a engine turning tool for a Cat ( half inch drive one looks sorta like on a starter ) is the same one for these Macks
  19. Coming along, this looks to be working out better than you were thinking. Which is a good thing.
  20. Interesting rockers and tank on that truck.
  21. Maybe a smaller breaker would work ??? (like 15 amp) when it overheats it'll trip and then come back on after it cools off . Might be enough to get stuff sliding off the glass. Certain areas ? those trucks can be a problem in just the right storm when it comes to keeping the glass clear. Or maybe a fan might be a better idea ?
  22. At my age I first saw him in the comedy roles. It's something how seeing him on something older , you can't look at the guy and not still think about the Naked Gun stuff, or Airplane .
  23. Those two are fairly close ratio wise as far as low gear and overdrive. The 13 would require at least shortening the drive shaft. The 9 speed top cover will bolt on the 13 . Is it an (F) because that's what the chassis requires (forward shifter) In my opinion ? unless you plan on pulling a trailer , the 9 should be fine.....unless you take the muffler off and really like row'n gears
  24. I had one once , the genius driving it insisted on putting a stick in the tank ( to check the fuel level.... cause gauges aren't always right ) Blew air back from the supply line at the filters. It was full of bark .
  25. Pretty sure it was a Cummins (400 ?)
