Truck parts are nuts any more. Couple weeks ago, I had to pay $2300.00 for an exhaust pipe. Nothing surprises me.

In 2024 ? that price isn't shocking in the least. Cam followers H clips gaskets. Wonder if that's with followers for the unit pumps too.

When the injector was out of it, are you sure it didn't end up with 2 washers down by the tip ?

My first driving job, the B Model had one of those. I actually haven't seen one in a truck since. -
Aren't they the indicator lights ? the buttons on the end are right or left and if I remember the one on the top is the four ways.

Guy that sells the coal to those places (I used to haul to him) told me about a year ago there was some app where you could report someone who was idling longer than a few minutes and the city would give you some kinda reward in money for rat'n them out. He said he had a couple fines while delivering the coal.

Welcome. I'm guessing CL64 is correct about the governer. The other part ?? looks to be an accumulator of some type. Fire trucks tend to be a different animal than the typical on highway truck. There are several fire truck (Mack fire truck) enthusiasts on this site that I'm certain will be interested in this thread when they see it. I'm confident they'll also have much better input than our guesses so far too. I would hope you do continue to post progress, we all love stuff like that. -

C180. that's 180 horse. I think they were like 672 cubic inches. Popular in stuff where the 743 wouldn't quite fit. The supercharger didn't add a lot of horsepower as the C160 didn't have a supercharger. But ???? back in the late '50s early '60s..... they did the deed.
