    I don't think it's limited to frame straightening 🤣

If you go through to the end , other videos come up you can watch if you choose. There was one a guy was doing some kind of frame repair. He was cut'n, grind'n ...weld'n....little more grind'n. Went on to say the total repair cost $170.00 .
  6. Don't kid yourselves..... any time you can change gears and the shifter goes through your hand smooth, you're not hurting anything. All comes down to weather you know what you're doing or not.
  7. Aren't those big railroads subsidized by the federal government
  8. I think maybe Maryland ? It was at one point. Both those cars were badass.
  9. Don't change a thing you're doing. I think I speak for many here, simply put.... we love it.
  10. They had the crossover attached to the caps at the rear of the front springs. (maybe this was only on the bigger ones ?) Often the fuel line ended up holding the whole thing from dragging the ground. Remember the springs didn't have a shackle, they had the rubber trapped under the caps at the rear. I'm 56, so you can imagine any B or old R like that I had any involvement with had a few hours of service on it by then. Then the CL in my avatar , that came with a nice neat angle nicely bent to attach to the tank brackets . After it was about a year old that used to break the eyes off on a semi monthly basis too.....even with a much bigger piece of angle iron (lol)
  11. Some had that really swell set up where there was an angle iron attached to the spring caps and then the hose was anchored to that (at least for a little while) No matter, each tank should have its own valve on it, and probably not a ball valve. I don't remember any form of "leveling valve" they sorta found their own level as long as you were on level ground (lol) Basically how ever you run a hose across it needs to be at the same height across from tank to tank (or very close to it) and your vents need to be functioning .
  12. Yes. We're gonna want the 6061T6 aluminum foil .....and of course some Speedy so we can look large 😃
  13. That '55 looks great. Even looks like period correct Fenton Gyros on there. 😎
  14. I should probably know better than to comment, but it's been my experience that a functioning Dynatard works as well as a Jake . Thing ya gotta remember is back when these (both Dynatard and Jake) were in use, they were both pretty anemic as compared to anything newer. Lots of Macks back then had fairly slow axles and if downshifted there was some effect from an engine brake. (think parking a car and putting it in reverse compared to 4th on a hill) E7 had a little more retarding power, but Macks and engine brakes never really had it until the E Tech. E9 with a Dynatard had some power, but probably because it was much larger displacement .

Exactly. How many times would you clamp something along by the cut to follow as well . I wish I could do stuff like that...... but I think I'll stick with wearing my ropers instead of sandals . I forget where I was watching one of those videos and they were throwing the wires over the ones on the poles for the welding (lol)

I really had my doubts of watching it all because of the length, but I couldn't stop.

These guys weren't by any chance waiting for a delivery of parts because the delivery truck had an axle problem 🤔
  19. You mean like a virus or something ?? One capable of destroying an economy and creating a major change in life as we know it ? Wanna go halvsies on a roll of aluminum foil ?
  20. Emeryville ?? I'm pretty sure it was the VCO.
  21. Could you imagine how few kids the age of your grandson have any idea what some of the vehicles you have are. Let alone how they're supposed to be used. So many of us on here were that boy at some point.
  22. Funny part to me, I have a buddy that looked a lot like that around 25 years ago. Took me a little while to realize what OD did there. Didn't realize it was a vintage picture of you photoshopped on someone else. Can you picture the chicken smoke'n away while OD was do'n that ?
  23. Tell ya what, after see'n the "Bob" pictures photoshopped it makes ya wonder .
