  1. I've always been amazed how they can easily grow 200 plus corn on non irrigated ground, that kind of yeild with no irrigation or land leveling cost I think I could afford to dry it down, there was alot of 30-35% corn shelled down here, the guys with driers will be alright, the ones that put it in the bin and run heat and air, might be something else (it usually doesn't want to come out)
  2. more than likely the delta ie. from the bootheel of MO. South everybody should be done in the Delta, some are other than late beans, some have alot of rice and cotton (what a joke this year) still in the field, some corn but its so sorry I don't think anybody is worried about cutting it and NOV. around the corner and another 8" of rain on the way I'm not laughing most farmers should be planning which beach to have turkey dinner on not this time, looks like a month of mud and water that is if there is anything left to cut, we don't get to wait on the big freeze down here, if you equipment can't get it out it's a loss
  3. did you look at the air filter, and what are you pulling, its been easy to avage mid to upper 7's with mine here lately
  4. sure would be nice to put on of those MP8 525hp non EGR motors the Military has in a glider kit
  5. alot of post in the forum about hp upgrades, in a nut shell injectors at $90 seems to be the way to go, a hotter program in the 460 such as a P XT would be great but nobody is going to put that on in for you hot rod shop in IL. will sell you a ecm with custom tune good for a extra 150hp, but I would solve the throttle issue and jake before any of this
  6. should have made my post longer, what I was getting at is the t-2060 is geared taller in 2nd vs the old 2-sticks, that truck with 5.88 still will run down the road at 65 one with 6.06's would still be as fast an old 2 stick as far as road speed. as far as the RD part of the truck it refers to the type of frame 3/8" thick 10.5" tall I had a 79RD once you can put the newer style hood on a old R radiator would have to swaped
  7. yes 2 sticks have a 4.99 in 2nd direct and 8.20 in 2nd lo if its a 1071 it will be 13.42 in 2nd lo lo with those 5.88 in most situations you will only need low range for reverse truck should top out around 65mph though
  8. be a t-2060 or 2070 most of them in chicagoland was speced with one of those trans, to be sure it would be stamped in the driver side of the trans.
  9. your not too far off on boost 01 427 usually around 31-32 have seen 35 pulling long hills that is off the factory gauge
  10. did the dealer say why it would cost an arm and a leg to uprate to a 460p don't waste your time and go to a straight 460 they are weaker than a 427
  11. yeah refuse industy used them to clean up emisions in large cities, mostly seen in MR'S set at 325 or 350hp
  12. Did they quit making the E7 LPG AND CNG versions too?
  13. e6 350 1277lbs at 1250rpms EM6 300 1425LBS AT 1050rpm
  14. thats what I would be thinking too bet the mechanic was not paying to much attention when they put the new u joints and carrier bearing in
  15. your T-2070 has a .60OD a 12spd has a .78OD you will be loosing alot of road speed, not much you can change to t-2080 8spd would give you a deeper low hole but thats about it
  16. I was going to stay out of this one until you said that I you did all those mods and all you have is the same power as a series 60 500 you not only wasted your time any money you went backwards a good 427 will beat a Detroit up the hill
  17. E9 was way underated on paper, if it only had 1650lb of torque Mack would had put some Fuller Trans. behind them all of them I know of either had 12 or 18spd Mack due to the Torque the motor made
  18. I am assuming you have E7'S motor should uprate to 427 or 460 hi performace injectors can add 20-30% at around $90 a hole
  19. I've got a 01 Vision 427 13spd fuller 3.70's short 22.5 I get around 6.5 pulling hopper 83-85,000 gross, I hear the ASET motors are not as good on fuel and 460's fall on there face below 1400 only real problem so far has been the plastic radiator giving up
  20. my 01 vision abs light came on you can quess all day at it but will have to hook it up to find out for sure mine was a speed sensor on the front end
  21. nice trucks but as high as Mack has there prices compared to the other makers, I would not worry about much over time on the assembly line
  22. I do not think we will see those ratings in the states, Europe and Austraila yes I have not seen a heavy spec cabover like that Volvo since the MH Michigan Specials
  23. thats what I always heard but only on the Maxidyne engines
  24. my bad I miss read you I thought you was trying to take the whole engine and swap it into an older manual truck, more power I highly doubt it
