  1. Many of us in the (modern) fire service call them "wastes of money."
  2. Any information you can provide is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hey I have a buddy who has a 1946 Dodge firetruck. He's on the job FDNY, lives in Hicksville. He's had cancer on and off ever since 9-11. He's doing pretty good now though, is on light duty driving a staff chief. He wants to put an automatic into his toy. Truck has a 216. Any ideas off the top of your head of what kind of automatics he might be able to use? Would they mate to the bell housing or would he have to buy some kind of conversion plate or have one fabricated???? Is there anyone out on the Island that could do this work for him that will do quality work? Any other thoughts appreciated!!!!
  4. That was revenge for all you out there who dare to cast jokes of my beloved FWD being re-powered with a 2-stroke! My work here is done!
  5. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Look no further. This is the most wicked thing you will ever see, right here.
  8. Boiled gizzards?
  9. Look on the bright side- any ahole could have done that!!!!!!!!!
  10. The ONLY thing that is keeping me and the wife here in Pa. is my parents- who will not move. Believe me when I say (respectfully) that whoever kicks the bucket last (mom or dad....) the second we lower the casket into the ground, my wife will be on the real estate pages looking at properties in the Fayetteville/Wilmington NC areas.......!!!!!!!!
  11. Thank you for your family's supreme sacrifice to our country. And well done for taking on raising your grandson as if he were your own, although I doubt there is a soul here that would ever think otherwise of you.
  12. This is why approx. 1.5 million folks in the Philadelphia suburbs and southeastern Pa. lost power on Wednesday. Some are still not back online and may not see any juice until late tomorrow or Monday. Many power crews from as far away as Chicago, Canada, Alabama and Mississippi are in the area helping out..
  13. Are you sure it was a 671-T and not a natural??? Many of the drivelines in earlier Maxims were set up for 817G Waukeshas running at 3200 RPM's and when swapped out were done so with 617-N's.
  14. Ask Slpwlkr.....I'll text him and tell him to pop in here and sound off if he knows.
  15. Carl I climbed an old wooden aerial one time just to be able to say "I did it." And the flex of that didn't come close to that of a Pirsch riveted/huck bolted aluminum stick.
  16. I've been a Firefighter for 25 years and have climbed many an aerial ladder- but there is not enough money on this planet to get me to climb a Pirsch ladder, especially one THAT old!!!! EFF THAT!!!! They need to be melted down and made into beer cans.
  17. Carl- Sheppard or Ross power steering?
  18. Deadwood was on the same channel- only ran two seasons and then got cancelled. Guess it wasnt all that great. LOL
  19. Ahhhhhh Rowdy- finally someone else besides me who likes JUSTIFIED. As for the super bowl, the only reason I will have it on will be for Medium and Large who have been talking it up all week and really want to watch it. But I predict they'll last half of the first quarter and then walk away- which is when I fire up all of the DVR'd shows I have been saving precisely for tonight. Rowdy- did you like "DEADWOOD?" I think that was Timothy Olyphant's breakout roll. I really like him as an actor- I think he's way underrated.
  20. Welcome to BMT. Here is your life preserver, your safety glasses, and a free rubber chicken.
  21. Shuttle valve may have stuck. Give it a few smacks with a dead blow hammer. Might free it up enough to get it home, then I would exchange it for a reman unit.
  22. Warn us next time, dammit!
  23. Two PTO's on that MH????? One next to the seat and one at the right knee.....????????
