  1. The price of scrap is way down, perhaps a few things wI'll be around longer. I had been looking for an older welding machine and some 6X5.75 rims for my 66 Ford welding truck, only to find that there were plenty until the price of scrap went sky high. A lot of valuable parts land equipment lost forever.
  2. It has a an additional power steering pump on the right bank that only works the parking brake check the fluid in that unit, the stick will say check with brakes applied or released. ATF is fine to use. The chambers on the rear operate with a wedge that separates the shoes. Check all fluids, most of the problems I've had with them have been leaks.. Very expensive for wheel cylinders. 2 per rear wheel.
  3. Do any of the fines go back to purchasers? By the way always enjoy your posts. Thank you for keeping us up to date. Dave
  4. Towed a truck to a customer yesterday, he has some nice old trucks
  5. Hussein, this is just a matter of taste, like redheads and blondes, some people like a traditional look, some like a modified look. Life is too short to conform your likes to someone else. I must be a little odd, I like them all, however I do not like green and purple hair.
  6. I got the same senior cruise as 41 Chev. When Suzie and I were married in 1972 I made $73.00 every half month.
  7. Fascinating, really enjoyed it. Thank you
  8. Came out of Lafayette Indiana last night, laid over at the Valero in Jackson Ohio last night and left at 6 this morning, ice all the way to the Virginia line. Sandstone mountain had I lane partially clear. Can't tell you the number of times I broke traction ( empty) just got in 8 hours from Chilicothe area to Richmond. Wish I had better news
  9. In the late 70's or early 80's Wilson Freight out of South Charleston, Ohio (Dirty W) bought a bunch of Mack's with 903 Cummins, I remember them well from all the camshafts and water pumps I put on them, always wondered where they all went? Would love to see one for old times sake.
  10. York Pa. Is ATHS national show last week of May, I will be leaving from Colonial Heights near you on Wed. With two loads, two weeks later is the ATCA national in Macgungie, will haul a couple loads up there as well, PM me and I will send my phone number and show you where to find all the entry info. Dave
  11. Have enjoyed watching the progress, had to put the pictures on the computer so I could see the details better, amazing job, and thanks for sharing. Dave
  12. Missed you, glad you're feeling better
  13. Going to get trailer in the shop soon to get it sharpened up a bit. Would like to get it to some shows this spring to share with you guys. Just worried about getting in somewhere and having to do some backing. I've been driving truck since 1969, I can back a tractor and trailer on the back of a wrecker, but I'll be damned if I can back that thing more than 10 feet without it starting to jack. My hats off to the old timers. Wish I had a video of Dr. Bill backing it down the road. Lol Dave
  14. Kind of a bad term used for a driver that takes unnecessary risks, like if the roads are slick and everyone is being cautious, and a truck goes by everyone, and slides in the ditch, someone will call him a Supertrucker. Best way I can explain it.
  15. The first of the year started closing on Wednesday, slowest day and it is hard to staff 7 days a week. I won't be there, but if you see Bones he will take you back to the shop where I'm working on the PIE Tanker, also have a White an IH and a Diamond T back there. running out of room, as we keep one area for Functions and parties. Hard to believe as it is 70,000 square Ft. Expansion plans for next year. Hope you enjoy your trip. Let me know, Dave
