  1. I think it is an early Fleetstar 2000 series.I believe it shared a cab with the Loadstar, but the Fleetstar was a diesel. If the picture was big enough you could see the Fleetstar in script and the 2000 also on the side of the hood. Go to utube and type in Fleetstar 2000d and enjoy!!!!!!!!!
  2. Go take a nap and finish the dream!
  3. Where do you look for the serial and or model number on a ENDT_675/ 237 Maxidyne? Thank You!!
  4. I remember that stuff too! Wish I could find some too!
  5. White Pine? Time to go to Douglas Lake with a fishin' pole!
  6. All of the new Macks that were supposed to go to Lexington, Ky actually ended up in Sharonville Ohio. They put in a DEF tank in Sharonville at a cost of 60k, so UPS wouldn't put in a tank in Lexington. We got the old Internationals from them.I would rather drive my old CH till the wheels fall off.
  7. Go for it Pizza Mack! write the truck off as a business expense
  8. Interesting stuff! It is what keeps truck driving from ever being boring.
  9. Where is the long handle hoe or green dragon torch?
  10. Whoever had it before you obviously was a Mack man. Take a look at that very distinctive Mack exhaust stack !
  11. Don't tell Baxter that is a Bulldog on the hood. You obviously have a good buddy there, no need to damage his ego.You know he thinks it is a Boston Terrier!!!!!!!!
  12. The top picture is of an International Loadstar. They were in almost every form in its day. From box trucks to school buses.I saw a few as diesels that featured a different grill area and shutters. Dump trucks, farm trucks with a flat bed , you name it. I would bet it was one of the all time best sellers for International
  13. Very nice!. What are the two buttons and the light at the top of the dash for?
  14. In the picture of the windshield area was the Thermodyne diesel logo factory or add on?
  15. Did you save the hay or was it a casualty of the fire?
  16. It didn't work out for this one because there is a better one for you still out there.Remember this too the truck may be less credible than its seller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. The phone may ring soon with the news that you are a Grandpa!!!!!!!

  19. Since you are trying to get your CDL and everything you do is being supervised try and shift around 1500+-50 rpm 1450-1550 rpm. You will eventually be able to shift without touching the clutch( except when starting out).Get the double clutching down, get the CDL and then move ahead. Remember if you try and shift with the rpm too high it is not going to come out of gear for you.It goes into gear best as the rpm is falling so you will have to run it up some.If you can't get it into gear run the rpm up again and try again. Make a note of when it went in and notice the enjine sound too. Hope this helps!
  20. Lubricant and time are the friend of amateur truck mechanic. I don't see any lubricant on that frozen nut. Lube it up or get out the checkbook!
  21. I am by no means a mechanic, but you have failed to mention the differences in transmissions and gear ratios. Gear ratios in the rear ends and the horsepower ratings of each respective engine. I am just trying to help you find a less costly solution to your problem. You may find changing the rears or transmission may allow you to work in a more comfortable environment and allow you to reduce your fuel costs.
  22. Those dayton wheels and hubcaps just set the whole thing off!
  23. Check the coolant level in both the upper reservoir and lower. One of the sensors may become exposed and trigger the lightning bolt. The bolt itself means electronic malfunction.
