    Very good- but just think with today's regulations, if you could still get a 71 series in a new truck, together with all your normal registration, permit and inspection fees, you would have to file an environmental impact statement and also have a Coast Guard spill plan with you! But I do miss tjhe 6-71!

    For sure-don't see many LJ's with rock bodies-make that don't see many TRUCKS with rock bodies.!

    I think some of the boys in the local ATCA chapter have some pix- I'll see if I can somehow get something I can post-with some help from my kids! Many years ago I used to deliver cement to the Rosenfeld plant in Needham-or was it Dedham? Seemed like they had a fair amount in boneyard.

    You'd appreciate this then. 25+ years ago I lived in No. Andover and I would take my kids out past the Rea's house and all these B's would have their noses sticking out of their stalls. Little did I know some day......

    Here is my B at Rea Construction's barn, No. Andover MA. Ken Rea and his dad ran a number of B models for years. I believe they were second owners of this B-60X which guy before them had repowered with a 711. In '79 they put a 237 reman in it that had 10,000 miles on it. I bought it from them, put a new Galion on it (kept old hoist) and reworked the front end. Maxidyne with a Duplex and CRD -62 rear with 6.67 gears

    Here is Mike Trotto's B-81X-Before and after. Truck was originally a B-80 purchased by city of Worcester. Truck sat in a lot on Rt.70 in Boylston for a long time-this fired my interest in owning a B Model

    Welcome from Bolton MA. I do believe I met your dad at the Hudson show a year or two ago. I believe I have his card somewhere. Was C & J a John Deere dealer at one time?

    If it just crapped out today, stuff in freezer should be okay for a day or two if you don't keep opening the door.

    Amen. I've been thinking of my grandkids all day. We can just keep these people in our thoughts and prayers. The speeches will begin on gun control but I'm afraid are issues go beyond that.

    We are in the same ball park-mine is a 56. Matt Pfahl had a bunch of these made-heavy composite.

    When in doubt, get a rag, get under the truck, and read what is stamped on the driver side of the trans case.

    good points. Would be nice to see a full explanation in future WOT that details costs and seeks suggestions for improving on same. Like your point on the type of bus. Think the majority of guys would object to a city bus or heaven forbid- a school bus!
