  1. The rule of thumb is the less height and as few 90's in the fuel line the better. Now that being said, A lot of new trucks have a fuel water separator mounted up on the firewall. Higher than the valve covers! So most anything will work. Just keep this in mind when planning that the less "restrictions" the better.
  2. So where are the interior pics of the Cruiseliner? Lol. I was thinking while looking at the pics that she was to clean a Cruiseliner to part out. Nice score on both of them!
  3. On my Cruiseliner the seloniod is behind a panel in front of passengers feet. I don't remember where it was on my F model but I do remember hearing it click when you turned key on. Follow the heaviest wire up into cab. Hopefully that will lead you to it
  4. Well that sure will save on polishing expenses
  5. You probably have an air operated "slave" valve back by the air leveling valves. Yes you need air to make it dump. As to why you don't have air at the dash valve is odd. Follow the supply line back to a source. You need at least 60 lbs of air in order for it to work. Now you may have a different set up but im betting that youre Neway is air Slave valve to make it dump
  6. That's an 83 Cruiseliner. Looks good.
  7. WOW! Thanks. Those interior pics are my truck. Except mine has the full gage package and power window. Same color even. Thank you
  8. I may be. Like I said im mainly looking for "Eastcoast" Cruiseliner material. But depending on condition I may be interested.
  9. If anybody ever comes across "East coast" Cruiseliner pictures or manuals or sales literature I would be grateful. I can find info on "west coast" Cruiseliners but the Later ones don't seem to have as much fan fare. Thanks
  10. A good thing to do is install a boost gage. Then any modification you do will show. If you dont see any gain then you'll know, try something else. Im not sure on a Mack engine but a B.C. Cummins for every 2 lbs of manifold pressure amounts to around 22 h.p. So you can see what your adding for power, also mileage
  11. If you truck long enough you will find a DOT cop that will tell you everything is illegal somewhere along the line. It all depends on what their boss told them to look for that day as he wound up the key in their backs and sent them out to save America from us terrible truckers. Went to a load securement class put on by the DOT and other state agencies. They were more concerened about my antique plates than how I chained down my 5 pulling tractors. I said Why don't you let the IRS deterime if im making money at tractor pulling and you folks make sure the truck is safe for the road. I figured they would nasty to me after that comment but all he said was, YOUR RIGHT, GOOD POINT,
  12. How about a B71 or a B75? Located in N.H.
  13. Ah the RED GREEN show. Now that is just plain great TV. Even Harold would have to admit that is intresting
  14. That would be a fine addition to our collection but the Obuma years have not been kind to my checkbook. Would love to have that next to my 81 F model. Hope it goes to a good home
  15. Don't you just love it when a parts guy tells you "That's old, time to junk it!" Our local John Deere dealer is becoming that way also. Told me my 1207 mowerconditioner was too old. The parts guy next to him who knows me says "you should ask him what he runs it with if you think that's old" If it still works why replace it?!!!!
  16. Well it was a nice truck. Hate to see photos where drivers get hurt. But we all know it does happen in our profession.
  17. Did you notice that it has 2 air tanks on the right side under battery box? t is bright, shouldn't loose it in a parking lot
  18. Really? That bad? LOL. That's part of what running an E9 is about isn't it?
  19. Thank you folks for your help. I'll try solenoids.
  20. What we have done, All be it cruel, put a 5 gal pail half full of water in passenger side floor. Then D con. When they go for a drink they cant climb out of pail. Remember, IT'S WAR, they don't fight fair
  21. Nothing wrong with a Driptroit. Just sepreates the men from the boys. You gotta be a real man to stick ur finger in the door and get mad then take it out on the engine. Works every time
  22. Latley when I shut the Dyntard off it sounds as if 1 cyl is still trying to jake. Maybe its 2 cyl under the same rocker cover im not sure. Unless you have the window down you wouldn't hear it. Keep in mind that my E9 is under my butt not out in front like most trucks. What would cause it to stay "jakeing" for few seconds after switch is shut off?
  23. Hey each to their own. I wouldn't build it but I admire his creativity. Kinda like the guy in W.O.T. who changed a Magnum. When you have a rare nice truck why destroy it? But its all up to the owner. I would like to see someone do a live tandem on that. Now that would be unique
  24. My E9 says 1982 on the tag. I was thinking it must be one of the earliest
