  1. You can also shim the limiter out of the pump a little to.
  2. Supposedly gm is keeping the floor steel. I think the floor and wheel wells should be steel and the rest plastic. Door skins, front fenders, box sides and tailgates could all be a poly.
  3. What is worse is they pay production costs for a commercial for them. Think of the money ford makes on this deal. One less step on the assembly line, 4 less products to stock at the plant and move, the price of the product is saved too. If they save $10 a truck on a million trucks, that pays for a corporate salary.
  4. Uh oh........... Remember the Ford "Swiss cheese" frames.....
  5. Visor bolts, roof vent, air horn gaskets, marker light gaskets, windshield weatherstripping
  6. Where are you located? I'm in MN and my cousin has a motor here with a 5 speed bolted to it. Motor has less than 100,000 on it. I can't remember if it's a 237 or 300. But I know hes not married to it.
  7. Low pressure will be either on the dryer on the line around it. High switch is on the compressor.
  8. Ford said a lack of coolant circulation can cause the engines to overheat, cracking the cylinder head. That could result in an oil leak that could ignite a fire. Ford said it’s aware of 29 reports of fires in the U.S. and Canada; no injuries have been reported. Ford currently doesn’t have service kits available and told customers to continue to drive their vehicles. The company advised customers to seek a dealer if their vehicle leaks coolant. It will mail customers instructions on how to check and refill coolant. This sounds like stuff that'd happen in the 80's, not now.
  9. This guy should've thought about that before he bought a house on that road.
  10. So the law makers are fighting over who gets the credit? They're all a bunch of babies.
  11. So what's the holdup? Why wouldn't International build a heavy haul float truck for the U.S. market?
  12. Will they pass U.S. emissions?
  13. The higher cafe ratings are causing this. Electric cars should pay tax based on miles. The fuel tax is the only fair tax we have. Truckers pay the most, but we also use the roads the most and do the most damage. I'd pay a dime more a gallon IF all of it went directly to road infrastructure.
  14. You better work the piss out of it and re-seat the rings. Also if you changed oil brands they'll burn some oil for 20,000 to 30,000 miles.
  15. Do the auto makers make big profit on the police cars? I see tons of new ford interceptors.
  16. This is where salesmen screw up things. I ordered a center console in my Titan. It's lighted on the inside and has a 12v power outlet inside of it. The front has elastic netting to hold things and it's not quite as bulky as the console in the CL's.
  17. Are those factory headlights?
  18. That is very interesting!
  19. I was told the big thing will be the new sleepers. Personally, I love the the cab, just the right size. I'd love to design my own interior though.
  20. She'll love the Impala! About the most generic car you can buy but they're so comfortable, get good mileage and float down the highway.
  21. Motors are still built here, chassis's are built here, all assembly done here. It's American jobs. Can't say that for binder, Freightliner and others.
  22. Now Mack and Volvo combined can't get 3rd place!
  23. I believe the best bet is scrap it all. The government can't run anything efficient or cost effective. Anything they dabble in is messed up. Let it be like before. I have a sister in law that is pure trailer trash. Smokes weed, two kids with two different losers, lives in her dad's basement and so on. The county takes good care of her and the kids. She also only works 15 hours a week at Walmart. But she got $9000 back in taxes! Well that $9000 could go right to the county to pay for her bennies
  24. It is sad though.
