  1. That must be a TN law with the blade. Rarely ever do you see dozers or loaders facing backwards around here. That is frustrating though going from state to state. One minute your compliant and the next minute your not. I think it has gotten to the point now where it seems as if the Government has set us up to fail. One way or another the driver will be wrong for something, but that is a whole other thread I'm sure. Still a shame about this driver though, I guess when its your time, its your time. Can't fight it.
  2. It is a TWH model and I got a smoking deal on it. Last month diecastmodels.com was running a one week sale on these and a few other things and this was $130 with free shipping so I jumped on it. Actually bought 2 because a friend wanted one. The next week they went back to $260 and you pay for shipping.
  3. Just moved our 644 the other day and had 5 chains on it. 2 front 2 back and one across the center. D.O.T wants everything with a bucket to have a chain across it also nowadays. I think they are just being picky though with that. I figure if the bucket is going somewhere its because I'm upside down and have bigger issues at that point. I also thought you should always try to face the exhaust of the machine away from the wind as not to have the turbo spinning with no oil. Always see covers on truck stacks when they are being towed backwards.
  4. One of my latest additions is this 379 Pete pulling a Vermeer tub grinder.
  5. This 5130 CAT is in the Port of Indiana.
  6. Not sure what the MR was but the back was from a Roll on Roll off Granite Chassis, also a Chicagoland truck which I have an un-molested version.
  7. Most of my stuff is probably 80% Chicagoland trucks. I have seen that Tiger truck before but I don't know where they are out of. I don't think it is rare but a good way to get an idea for price is to watch ebay and see what they are going for. I see that one popping up from time to time.
  8. Good eye on the Ikea cases. About the only thing in that store that didn't suck. I do have an MR rolloff. Me and 2 friends had three of these custom made to look like the MR's we had at a company we used to work at.
  9. Damn, the gal on the right has some nice speed bag arm fat.
  10. Here are a few of my First Gear trucks. Tried to get most of em in one shot.
  11. That's the truth! He managed to ruin two trucks, a dually and a Pete. At least its a 377 and not a 379, nobody will miss that tird. I just gotta wonder if he stepped back from that after he was done and thought "hell yeah, that looks good"
  12. Here is another Axle postcard of a Thornton Cartage Hendrickson.
  13. Here is a D.T.I Hendrickson from Clinton IN. This is an Axle trailer post card like the ones BCR Al has posted on the Chicago R-Models.
  14. Not a huge Ford fan but this body style was definitely one of the best. Reg cab long bed 4x4 with a 7.3 is alright in my book. What sucks is now they are starting to rust out around here, unless you find a nice southern truck.
  15. Saw this Deere working along the tollway the other day.
  16. Was over at a friends place earlier today and took a pic of his Hendrickson he has for a parts truck.
  17. That is a shame. I have worked with and still work guys that treat their trucks like this and they are the first ones to bitch when a new piece of equipment shows up and they don't get it. They can't put 2&2 together, don't take care of the old stuff, then your not gonna get new stuff. They think the boss doesn't notice, but they do.
  18. Here are a few more brand X'ers. One of my favorites at the show is the gold 389 made to look like an old school 359. Truck was a 2013 glider kit, had a C-15 CAT in it. That was one cool thing about this show, if it was a new truck it was a glider and all the other trucks were either cabovers or had hoods, out of 500 trucks I only saw one p.o.s Volvo. No plastic or DEF tanks here.
  19. Mark and J Hancock, good eyes. I had heard the same thing, and I thought I heard the guy who bought the trucks was from MN. I did not see anybody by the truck though, so I couldn't get any answers. I have a book from when I was a kid that is about Tyrone Malone. Was and is one of my favorites and has a spot in my toy room now. I'm suprized I didn't wear the ink off it I looked at it so many times. I took a couple pics of the book to post.....Brian
  20. I like it. Bears a striking resemblance to my profile pic.
  21. No problem, thanks for bringing it. I know I have others of it from Richland Center from years past. Nice looking truck.....Brian
