  1. Nice, my Dad had an 87 Value Liner. One of the last ones made. Was my favorite Mack that he owned. Was also the last Mack he owned. When he got rid of it the CH's were coming out and he wasn't real thrilled with them so he switched to brand X.
  2. I was this morning for about 20min to drop off a flatbed, and 18min of that was B.S---ing with the guy that bought it and then I bobtailed back before all the weekend warrior idiots woke up.
  3. I don't think that thing could reach the bottom right now. The Mississippi is really high.
  4. On my trip to Bettendorf IA today I went through Moline IL where I spotted this 359 Pete. I have seen it sitting there before but had never got a shot of it. Wish I could get a closer look but did not want to trespass. This is a beautiful looking truck from the street. Very clean.
  5. Here is a 350D Deere with a swamp stick I saw in Bettendorf IA today. Was at a little gravel pit right on the Mississippi River. I'm gonna guess that maybe they get their material from a barge and they use this machine to pull it out. Although it would seem to have a small bucket for that.
  6. This 230 Deere is digging out for a new concrete foundation for a new grain bin.
  7. A D8 the local CAT dealer brought out to a truck/tractor show in Mchenry IL.
  8. You got that right! I think there has been alot of trucks and tractors cut up the last few years.
  9. I don't know who this A-car belongs to, but I took the picture at the Waupun Truck n Show in Waupun WI a few years ago.
  10. Here are a few dozers in a row at a scrap yard in Escanaba MI I was at. This was a couple years ago, I'm sure these tractors have long since been cut up.
  11. Here is an HD 41 Allis Chalmers. This tractor was at an ATHS/tractor show in Richland Center WIS a couple years ago. First Gear used this tractor for the 1/25th scale tractor they made. Can't be to many of these left. What a monster. I think Allis was the featured tractor that year, that's why this machine was there, and they also had a raffle for the First Gear version.
  12. Yeah. It was back along the canal. Complete shit hole. If you were in Lo Lo that was almost to fast. I saw some dummy in there one day with a blue CH and Alumatech tub trailer go through there so fast his trailer fell off after he got loaded and dropped the thing right on its nose. Place was terrible at best.
  13. Probably depends on what State he was going to. I have a few friends that do heavy haul in the lower 48 and every state they go in has a different set of rules for oversize. One state says its fine the next one wants you to have 20 axles and two escorts. Some of these states are just ridiculous with their rules.
  14. Took this at the Waupun Truck n Show in Waupun Wi a couple years ago. This guy was hauling a 450 Deere for Michels. Had it loaded facing forward. Usually the other way around, but I'm sure there was a reason for it. Possibly needed the counter weight to the rear to axle out, or just needed the stick to sit down farther, don't know.
  15. Got this 450 Daewoo loading salt from a barge off the canal in Lemont IL. Kind of a sloppy operation. Seemed to get more on the side of the trailer than in.
  16. It had more lift. When the loader came over it would pick it up another foot and a half off the trailer. The forklift at the yard had the same problem. It could only lift it so high and then another fork had to come over to assist to get it high enough to set on the trailer. Once the boxes were up the machines seemed to hold them fine, just needed a little help.
  17. Was hauling some 40,000 pound concrete box culverts up to Wisconsin the last couple weeks and took this pic of this 385B CAT unloading my friends truck. I was next in line. Boxes were even a little too heavy for this machine and it needed an assist from the loader otherwise he would have to drag it off the deck.
  18. This truck was at Louisville at least 20 to 25 years ago and they had these pictures of it with the specs on the back. I know there was a Kenworth areodyne with a huge bunk decked out the same way but I don't know what ever happened to these trucks. I have not seen them since.
  19. Saw this Marmon at the national ATHS show in South Bend IN two years ago.
  20. I know the teal one is still running around. I see that truck a few times a year running through Chicagoland.
  21. Took this at a local truck show last year. A nice set up, for 1978.
  22. What a beast. I've seen one of those running around here with a wrecker body. Can never seem to get a picture of it though.
  23. I like the fire truck fail, holy cow!
