  2. Two or three years back a Tuflo 500 was about 340.00 here at a store that most guys buy their aftermarket parts and at that price why try to over haul a compressor. Its going to cost you 100.00 i think to bore it.Then the crank may need to be ground.
  3. Nothen wrong there except it needs some paint.
  4. It should be a trunnion if its factory.
  5. The air pressure in the tanks being some more than it was will not change the pressure going to the puff limit cyl on the pump.

  9. That sounds like a AD4 drier which would be a problem with the purge valve letting turbo boost bleed out the bottom when it should be closed. Mine did it for a while and then stopped.

  11. It is a auto shift with a converter instead of clutch.

  13. You could use a triplex if your a good hand with a truck.You start gouging on it and something will break. The rear box will bust the case or the imput shaft will snap at the oil pump plunger hole.You run them in o/d with big power and it will wear the bushing out of the main shaft gear.

  15. It is limited in low gear and its for limiting the torque on the drive train. You will get full rack in upper gears. Sorry i should have been more detailed with the splaining.

  17. Terry what year is that F model?I have had hundreds of those cabs up like your and the one with the jake also. cant remenber about the one with the jake but i think it unlocks itself on the mounts.Is your a single or tandem drive?
  18. All of the macks that work with me have the puff limiter backed off or air taken off of them and they smoke so much. My engine has almost no smoke and it will be with them after the first 1/4 mile and non can under stand that smoke is not power.

  22. Start over and make some changes here. The air come to the trans and has a valve on it that lets no air thru to the reversing relay when in lower gear.it gets its supply from the park park valve.Then the reversing relay valve on the intake manifold pressures the reversing relay with turbo boost when boost is up cutting the pressure from relay to the puff limit valve on front of injection pump. When the boost is low on the relay valve you have hi pressure to the puff limit valve blocking the rack from full rack.With hi boost the relay cuts the air to the puff limit valve and full rack is alowed. Also on a cold morning when park brakes is set the air to the trans low gear valve alows no pressure to the relay valve then the rack is not blocked so the engine can get some more rack for a more fuel for a faster start.There is no vacumm on the intake valve.The reversing relay valve lets more air to the pufflimit with no boost. It lets less air to the limit valve with hi boost.It reverse the action of trhe chassis air to the puff limit valve thru the relay valve. Hope that is clearer. glenn

  24. All of that sure inpresses me but that is only on paper. trythe real world for awhile.
