  1. Today I had to go to Fredrick MD for a 65 Ford Thunderbird and a 94 Dodge Stealth. Nice lady in the rolling hills of Maryland. The back roads were a bit hilly and narrow. I got a shot in her driveway loaded up, then one going down the road. After I took the shot, the right side trailer tires went off the pavement and I thought its best to stop taking pictures with the phone, or at least until I have more road to play with. Great roads for a motorcycle but not too great for 60' of truck and trailer. I have to say, I really miss our dually. This 3/4 ton Avalanche (8.1L big block) is a little short more my tastes but it handles it. At the Chesapeake House to grab some lunch On 95 North on the way back, somewhere around Rising Sun this fool was on one of the cheap Chinese 150cc scooters holding up the slow lane at 50mph. That's a speedbump waiting to happen. Saturday I am delivering a 68 Chevelle to Cape Cod so I hope to bring my point and shoot camera for the ease of picture taking. I'll post those here as well. Oh and I have to say, I never realized how many R and U Macks are still in use on the highways. I must have seen at least 6 R's today and a couple U's (two on the road, one parked at a shop off 295 in NJ). Sorry I wasn't able to get pictures. By the time I had the camera set on the phone, it was too late.

  3. Can't get a better combo then an R Mack and a 70's Dodge van. Shagadelic
  4. I am impressed. You have done more on that truck in the past month the. I have done on my road racer all year. Bravo!
  5. Better chance of being with her now that she's on the down hill of looks. You can still say "hey I nailed Daisy Duke". People don't have to know its after her face turned into moon craters.
  6. The trailer looks about the same but I think GD is right, it might be a c Ford style. Now I need to dig through moms attic to fInd it
  7. That would be awesome Mike. You want me to pm the vin # to you and anything else you need?
  8. NJ is not as easy. Its a state of jerkoff laws and shit DMV. If it was NH I wouldn't have a problem because you don't have titles for older vehicles. I know before if you had just a bill of sale, you can go and register the truck then transfer that registation to a title in another state. I had a guy in NH who used to do title stuff for me but I don't think he is around any more. I contacted a title company who said this is the type of work they do. I'll see what they say and how much for the service. I'd hate to pass up a 20k original mile truck for a price thats less then the value of the motor and trans alone. I really don't need a flatbed with a lift gate but price is everything. Plus I can turn around and sell it once I get a clean NJ title in my name. I think it would be an easy flip.
  9. I came across a 89 IH 4600 flatbed with lift gate for sale with 20k original miles. Besides needing a good bath, the truck looks pretty decent and the price is right. The only thing is the seller does not have a title. He bought it 4 years ago and just used it on a farm. He said since it was a government truck, it didn't have a title. I did some research and I found that Govt vehicles sold to the public will have a Standard Form 97 (SF97) that I can take to the DMV to title it. Unfortunately he doesn't even have that. Do any of you guys know a relatively easy way to obtain a title for this thing? Should I even bother pursuing this? I must have sent 15 emails back and forth with the owner, who has been very nice to answer my questions. I just don't want to waste my time any further if I can't do anything with this truck.
  10. I used search tempest. You can put in what you are looking for and choose to search within a certain radius. Beats the heck out of going into each area.
  11. The Y88 Gold Edition was 1978 only. I think production was 8606 of them in total, then it breaks down into 403 and 400 cars then autos and stick. 403 cars (olds engines) only came with automatics.
  12. Two Guys from Harrison. That was a great department store. I remember being a kid and going to one in Manalapan NJ. I still have HO scale trains with the Two Guys price tag on the box. I also have a metal Shop Rite toy truck from the 70's or 80's in the attic somewhere. I think it's a Cabover.
  13. That would be a cool rig to hook up a wedge 3 car carrier and haul some vehicles.
  14. Wasnt there a member looking for a spring shackle for a u model? You think this has it?
  15. I think I made that suggestion in your other post. I always have a couple 2x4 and 2x6 pieces just for this stuff. Glad you got the car home safely. Looked like a cool trip. I dig your IH.
  16. And you missed the AC Mack on Doremus? It's sitting right on the side of the looking crusty.
  17. it has a trailer hitch so you can tow a boat or an rv. That's a good excuse to buy.
  18. Had a Buick Riviera in the shop with a 425. That thing ran strong.
  19. Does it come with a blender option for frozen drinks too?
  20. No. I have missed the last 5 years or so. I haven't had a good 'bird to go with. My Formula is still about a year and $12000 from being done and I need to put up a new garage first. Check out some pictures at www.jtresto.com. Go under formula project. I haven't updated my site in over a year but you will see how far I went.
  21. At least bring some wood to help the angle. If you need help and advice with that T/A I've been doing those cars since 1990. Built up a good rep with them too. The Formula in my name is for my 1980 Firebird Formula I've had since 90. I drove my 78 Trans Am i restored to the Trans Am Nationals in Dayton Ohio. 600 miles one way and the pansy next to me trailered his car 25 miles and it was driver quality. What's the sense in owning it if you can't drive it?
  22. I think that would be a little overkill to buy that just to plow my 50' driveway
  23. I've used one of these things to hold down a brake pedal to check brake lights.
